Some Leather-ette vinyl similar to what would be used on a Maxima Dash or whatever.
I originally planned this for something else and it didn't work out, so before doing the Power Seat switches in CF, I thought I'd try this to see what it looks like.

I think it looks wicked, miles better than it did (see side by side in 3rd pic).

I'm not sure what it looks like in the car yet, might not match the seats. If not, I'll do them in CF. If it matches, I think I'll do it this way.

Not easily

The physical switch stays, you just remove the trim piece. To do that you need to pull the screws out of the whole assembly to access the tabs that hold the trim

I have no idea where the connector is for the actual switch, or if there even is one. I didn't look too hard for it.

This turned out better than expected. I'll just need to re-wrap it because I did a crap job originally

I wish I could relocate the switches. I hate all the gunk that gets stunk in them.

Yeah they're a bitch to keep clean.
So is the circular trim around the shifter, but I guess the Auto guys don't have that issue

I'm confused. Did you not like the 4-way switches that came with your car, is that why you did the replacement?
