Starting my Vortech build while deployed. Injector Dynamics 725's, JWT fly, Earls 19 row, Mocal thermostatic plate, and aeroequip's hose. The Vortech V3 tuner kit is bought, but the intercooler is on back-order and wont ship until early February...

Rare JDM under-panel, black silicone hoses, JWT's clutch & pressure plate and UpRev's GT MAF... Trying to stick with the silver and black theme!

Thanks! Can't forget theses little treats from Z1... 20mm spacers for the front and 10mm for the back to even things out a little. AMS adjustable short-shifter (NISMO style) and JDM "hump" clear side markers.

Man, I can't wait to come home!

Sounds like a build is going down!! Nice dude!!

Curiosity, why are you going with such large injectors, are you putting a T trim in that Blower?

Nope. Im staying with the SCi trim. I thought 725's where way too big as well, but EVERYONE tells me Injector Dynamics 725's are the bee's knees and believe me; I have asked around before spending the coin on them.

Jared at UpRev tells me they are having great results with them and recommends them over DW's. Tony Palo at T1 says even though they are larger than the typical/usual, they are superior in every way, even idle characteristics. (No surprise if you know what I'm saying) The 725's are the smallest Injector Dynamics you can buy. ( UpRev initially gave me a quote for DW's and the HPX PMAS and a month later sent me an update with the ID's and their GT MAF.) They said it was due to the much better results and some warranty issues...

John at Z1 Motorsports recommended them and says they do not list/sell as many ID's because the DW's sell like hotcakes because of pricing and actually offered to give me a quote on the ID's. Even recommended the GT MAF for 375whp. Said it would result in a much better tune.

I am having Kenny Tran over at JoTech tune my car after I return home and install everything. I asked him as well on regards to the ID725's and he said they would be perfectly fine and that I made a great choice. I even stressed the size of the injectors and my power goals on a stock block. (375whp) He assured me all is well.

I am putting my faith in them. I just want the best for my baby. lol!

Haha! Heck no! Just the tune... I can handle the "build" no problem. I just don't know a thing about tuning.

Ill recommend Steve Kan at prt performance. I can get you a lot better deal on tune. He has tuned several of the local g and zs. Ill be going back to him soon as I fix my fuel pressure issue, I have I.d. 1000s. You will be fine with the 725s

I just want to get the best tune possible. From what I gather the tune is everything when it comes to safety and reliability and that is exactly what I want. A fun & reliable street car.

I had a fully built, 417whp, SOHC Honda running 25ish psi back in the day that sounded like a boat motor. No power steering or AC with solid motor mounts. Hated to idle and was nothing but a PITA. Was a blast to drive don't get me wrong.

I've been researching for months now for the best tuners closest to me. (Oklahoma City, OK) Kenny Tran has popped up several times for best tuners in the southwest let alone the nation.

Honestly, I didn't know much about him until I started researching. Maybe it is the current GTR fame that has made him huge. I know he has been around for a while and actually started back in the day with Honda's as with most.

Tony Palo at T1 has also popped up on the "best" tuner radar. (He actually worked at JoTech I've heard), but I have been directed towards Kenny over him regarding Forced Induction.

Some of my friends recommend J-Tran Studios, but I haven't heard too much on them...

I have no problem spending the money for the best possible tune. I know asking who the best tuner is can end up being the equivalent of asking who is better between Chevy and Ford or which oil is the best oil?..

I am due to return home mid-April and I am still researching, exploring and learning, so I am always open to options.
