Now you can throw a simple sub setup. A single 12 will be more than enough depending on your needs. I'm not saying you need it for the loud bass, but something that blends in well with the music...something that will pick up sub bass frequencies. If you want recommendations, let me know. I know plenty of inexpensive drivers to go with that aren't main stream but will outperform then. I'd recommend one that doesn't require much space and power. Efficient subs ftw...also you dont have to worry about paying as much for an amp. Something with a lower Fs (resonant frequency) is something to look for. The lower it is, the better it will pick up those low frequencies and will sound smoother.

I can't wait to get my build started but I'm going to have to go with OEM integration for now. Waiting on my Metra 71-7550 and 70-7550 plugs to come in. Gonna do all my wiring from the back of the head unit to get the cleanest signal with the most voltage output.

I'm not sure if you the D3 is coming pre-"hacked" for video playback while driving, but check out www.avic411.com for a DIY. It's probably like many other HU's that were out around that time and uses the PAC TR-7. Grounding the VSS wire to the parking brake was vanishing around when the head unit came out. Congrats on the purchase Marcus!

Fair warning Levon, you may want to edit that post.

Sad thing is, I still have a complete computer setup, touchscreen, 4 channel amp, RF mono amp, and JL 12" sub from my previous car that have just been sitting for a year and a half now because I haven't bought the stupid DD kit for the G yet.

The only thing I've got in the G is Infinity reference speakers on the oem blose amp

I've been laggin so hard that my first step was to get these wires. Gonna give it a shot myself. If I don't wanna deal with the headache I'm just going to take it to a shop. Majority of the wiring is already there going to my 2nd battery in the trunk. I just need to deaden the passenger front door. Eventually I'll do the rears but no need right now...when I do that, i'll do the floor and rear seat. And when I'm ready to do the 2 18's, then I'll do the trunk walls and floor.

I have a full setup right now that I can throw in, minus the subs cos I have some POS kickers that i got off craigslist for cheap. It's just that stupid JDM DD kit and a processor that is holding me back....and a DD HU...might just go with Zapco DC Reference amps and stick with stock HU, but I like being able to tune my setup on the go without a laptop.

^They're a lot better than the OEM speakers. Much more clear, and not all "muddy" sounding.

But they are a LOT better amp'd on an aftermarket deck with a decent eq.

Thanks Levon, based on what I've seen you post in the past I knew you'd be a great source of info related to audio stuff. When the time comes for me do do speakers, amps and a sub I'll definitely hit you up.

I don't think my D3 is hacked, but I do plan on wiring it so it can play DVDs while I drive.

Nice pickup Ernie. Doesn't the RB OE kit come with some sort of red caliper bracket. Are you going to paint it black to match your front BBK?
