Very nice, Matt. You've always been one to take the power and actually apply it to the ground so very little power is wasted. Your next mod should be paddle shifters - unless you have the power operated steering column.

Didn't your old Maxima do high 10s with SC and a little nitrous for the launch?

Thanks Dave. I do have the power steering wheel I am doing a shift light next, I beleive that will help a bunch, the RPMs come up so fast that the gauge just doesent work for drag racing.

Tha Maxima did mid 11s but trapped high 120s on slicks, FWD FTL... I want the G to be able to match that but on my street tires, its pretty close. I think I will get there in the fall once I do a few little things and the weather is a bit cooler. This is a pretty good starting point.

The things I want to do are...
Shift light
Cooling fan override switch so I can cool down faster between runs.
Trans temp sender for the SBCid so I can be sure the trans is cool
Rear camber is ~0.9 now with the factory bolts maxed, I have the SPC bolts and just need to install them and re-align to ~0.25.
I may try spring rubbers or Air Lift 1000 coil spring inserts to stiffen up the back a bit.
Perhaps try the Transgo VB kit to see if its better than the SGP VB I have.

I may up the boost a bitfrom 15 to 17 or 18psi , but I am worried about the trans holding the power. If you watch the RPMs in 4th in the videos it appears to slip a bit just after the shift, so the extra power may be worthless...

Awesome! I really wanted to do some similar setup as you have. In the end, it was much easier and more financially sound for me to leave my engine stock and buy a Z06.

Having said that, it is nice to see someone rep the sedan and show Infiniti that they should have a factory-tuner version of the beloved G-sedan!

I keep telling people that if it's built right it runs fine. Congrats.

In deed! TLC makes a solid motor!

I have no idea. I self tune on the street/highway using the UTEC data logs.

^Wow. Really?

I mean, I know a street tune can be pretty decent, but I've seen built cars gain a pretty good bit just with a nice dyno tune.

Ive considered it, but I just dont have time, and realy cant see spending the funds for it. I spent plenty of time on a dyno with my old Maxima, I understand what you are saying. I very much understand what I am doing, I find most shops are not very welcoming to DIY tuners... I plan to data log and tweek the tune at the track this fall, try a few things to get a little more power.

There's not much to do other than hit a target air/fuel ration in 250 RPM increments I believe with the Utec. Only problems is that there is no way to know how much the car is making and there is a chance of getting arrested doing pulls on the highway.

Street tuning is actually better because the car gets plenty of air flow and cooling doing pulls. No number of fans on the dyno can recreate the cooling from wind resistance on the street.

^Valid point on the air flow, but no butt is as accurate at measuring HP either

So the utec doesn't let you mess with spark?

^I have no idea but since it is a standalone EMS it probably does. Utec never really interested me as much as Haltech and ProEFi though.
