I'm not mad...LOL

I think you are talking about the area that surrounds the back of the shroud. Its not paper, I believe its thin metal that was cut into the shape of the opening. If it wasn't there you'd see gaps on either side of the projector shroud.

IvoryGT did a great job putting these together. When I was talking to this retrofit he mentioned how much harder it was to Sedan's compared to Coupes.
