Nice! Can't wait to see it on.
I'm in no rush on the sub. I'm going to be collecting parts over time as I track them down.

it'll be fairly soon cuz my leather is in bad condition, i got quoted $900 front and back. rewrap them 2 tone, tan leather for the seats like they're now but with gray suede inserts the middle. If for some reason i change my mind for the suede the center insert is still gonna be gray. And i'm getting more boulster added to the front seats to make them look more like bucket seats like the coupe's and mt fuji and infiniti stitched in the top middle of front and rear seatsOriginally Posted by CandlestickPark

If you go with 8" and want it to sound decent, you're going to need an enclosure for them. Otherwise it will sound like crap. 6.5" speakers would be much easier to do. If you can get the recommended specs for them, go for it, but check out www.madisound.com, they have quite a few drivers there and cheaper as well. The Peerless SLS is a good option at like 50 bucks a pop (speakers are listed as individual, not pairs). I'm planning on going with either those 8's in my doors or their 10's down the line with a 3" midrange in the kickpod and tweeters on the a pillar.Originally Posted by BlkSedan4me

There's another website that sells good speakers as well I just can't remember it, but it's from the company that makes Focal speakers and sells them at a fraction of the cost.
You can also check out www.partsexpress.com for other speakers. Those O2 ones don't seem to be that great. If they were made by OZ audio, different story.
*Edit: Found the site I was talking about: http://www.zalytron.com/
JM Lab makes Focal, but I thought it was one of the companies that started with an A that made similar speakers, maybe I'm remembering wrong since it was 3-4 years ago.
Also if you want some speaker reviews, head on over to www.diymobileaudio.com and check out that forum.

^+1 to enclosure > free-air.
My cousin put some fairly cheap 6x9's in a couple of enclosures and improved the sound GREATLY.

Unless free air is in the trunk (or home audio, damn I want some speakers in my walls or ceiling), then free air > enclosure. Basically if you're at a show or something, you can pop the trunk open and use everything outdoors as your enclosure. With it closed, you still have like a huge enclosure...and you need half the power. Also great for hitting those low-end frequencies. Man I can't wait till I get my pair of 18's. Nearly 510 sq. in. of cone area....it's like having nearly seven 10" subs

Logo looks kinda beat up. But as long as it performs, thats all that matters. I gotta start looking for my audio set up too.
