I still think you guys have got to have better roads in general.Originally Posted by CandlestickPark

I know FL roads aren't half bad, but still, to drive a car with our ground clearance around Tallahassee would require miles upon miles of detours to avoid roads with bumps/dips that would be lethal to the bumper.
Pretty much all of down town would be off limits, and I can think of a couple very large neighborhoods that you would have to add about 10-15 mins to the time it would take you to get in-out because of the limited access being even more severely limited because of speed bumps.
Parts of Tampa & St. Pete are even worse.
Louisiana though, just forget it. There are massive potholes and speedbump size imperfections that go right across all three lanes of the Interstate (that's "freeway" to you Californians) and the speedlimit is 65+ MPH

Downtown LA is pretty much off limits to me when there are lots of cars out. Only time I take my car down there is for a photo shoot on a Sunday when there are no cars and I can crawl over insane dips and dodge montrous potholes without worrying about people driving behind me.
And speedbumps are not an option. I just park and walk.
I usually don't even take my car to place I'm not familiar with, thankfully I have a truck that I drive probably 60-70% of the time.

You guys need to visit New England to see bad roads. We salt them in the winter like a **** which I image is not a good thing. Boston specifically is awful.

Poor baby's driving in Cali.... You guys should come to Houston! We have potholes 10 feet deep and speed bumps just as high not to mention all the uneven concrete which has absolutely torn up my car lol

Compared to most places the roads here in SC are smooth as butter. The bridge junctions and business entrances are ridiculous anywhere though when your riding real low.
There was an article in the local paper a couple weeks ago about the road I live on, which is also the road the high school is on. Due to multiple accidents and kids speeding they're planning on slowing down traffic, soo to have either speedHumps
or roundabouts
