You have a good lookin' son Marcus. I bet he's gonna have a real cool lookin' car when you both start modding his ride someday.

I wanted my Tanabe exhaust to sit a bit higher because the rear muffler hangs pretty low. We cut 3/4" off the two hangars on top of the muffler. The tip barely rest up against the Nismo rear now (will pick up some heat tape to put between tip and lip, thanks for the suggestion Chris - g35papa!).
Huge thanks to Dave (OH6 G35) for cutting/welding at 6am this morning so I could get back home to spend the day with the fam...LOL.

Wow that is close. Nice work to prevent scrapping. I do believe this is the first rear shot since the new setup was installed. More plea.

Much Better Marcus. You are going to need heat tape or an exhaust heat shield to protect the Nismo lip. I was thinking of getting something like this...

Yeah its right up on the lip, will add some heat tape to protect it. It wasn't scraping before, not even close I just didn't like the look of how low it was hanging.Originally Posted by shawndon

Yes this is the first rear shot
, didn't want to take any others before now since the exhaust was lower than I wanted it...hehe. I'm having a shoot done next Saturday so more pics to come.Registered User

It looks good like that. I never really paid attention to how the muffler hangs. I wonder if any of the other rears hang low like that.Originally Posted by CandlestickPark

Thanks Chris. For sure, gonna put some heat tape between the tip and the lip. Originally Posted by JDM_Cain

That CF exhaust shield would look great on your car.

The Tanabe muffler hangs the lowest that I'm aware of, at least out of the other single tips that I've seen.Originally Posted by shawndon

Yeah it is low. I have scraped my canister twice already. I may need to cut the hangers down like you did

The only reason I didn't come close to scraping the muffler is because I don't go in and out of steep driveways or over speedbumps.Originally Posted by P10 WRC
