Haha I saw that too. Rear clips are often cut like that. Cut off what you need and scrap the rest.

Man, that color is sweet. You need to figure how you can be properly compensated for all the hard work you've done.

So my G has gone from not totaled, to totaled, to not totaled if I waive the rental and possibly let them write the car a little under.

This is such an emotion roller coaster

Well either way I will keep it. Tomorrow I find out if I will fix it or if I tow it home and start tearing her down.

If I tear her down I will part as much as possible and most likely will build a VQ powered 1998 240sx which I have lined up.

I want to fix it and if I do no one will recognize it. I do love this car and it makes me sick to walk away from it.

^Yeah I remember you telling me you'd do the motor swap but I was hoping you'd be able to keep and fix the G.

If they don't total it, how would they pay out the repairs? The estimated amount to you? I'd go with whatever figure is more.

ie... if they have to devalue the car not to get it considered totalled, it might be better to let them total it, you buy it back for cheap and then fix it. You'd only have a salvage title and you'd have to recertify it when it's fixed.

They are fixing the car and I will not have a salvage title just found out today. Thats exactly what I wanted is I am very happy. Now I need to track down a **** load of parts.

I will make a progression thread and hopefully physically I can start working on it asap.
