The 05/06 headlights have "ridges" on top of the two arches in the housing and the 03/04s do not. Also from what I can see it looks like the 03/04 openings top and bottom are closer to being equal in size, whereas the 05/06s bottom looks larger than the top opening. Additionally the turn signal housing is slightly larger on the 05/06 than the 03/04. I know this because I was able to fit a 2.5" clear lens in my turn signal housing with minimal modification, but it would take more work to fit the same size lens in an 03/04 turn signal housing because its a little smaller.

Wow FAQ section needs repair then, or I read it wrong. States that all front end components must be changed, including fenders....

I'm glad to hear this isn't true!

And yes seems the Low beam (upper) ring is smaller in the 05/06, also seems set back a bit more. The whole light has subtle but impressionable differences that add up to a much nicer overall look.

I'm not sure I can justify the price, but seeing as I'll be getting a new bumper and hood if I keep the 03/04 front anyways, the only change is the cost of the headlights.....

 

Just an FYI, OEM 05/06 headlights will be well over $1K+ from the dealer and not much cheaper used on eBay for ones in good condition; there are no eBay alternatives. You can get "JDM" eBay 03/04 headlights for less than $200.
