My complete car history...

For a 35 year old, it's pretty brief.
First car, learner vehicle: 1973 Plymouth Duster, gold package. It was hard to break, easy to work on and a ton of fun. As a bonus, since it had the slant 6 instead of the v8, I got an economy car discount on insurance

Next was a 1980 Toyota Corolla wagon. 5 speed, rwd... It was ugly, utilitarian, surprisingly peppy and made it to 300k.

After that was a sleeper- 1991 Oldsmobile Cutlass Calais quad442... Super fun car. The w40 engine (ho quad4, 190hp, dual cam, 4 valves/cyl) with a 5mt getrag tranny, all stock. Quick, loaded with tech, just a small problem with head gaskets. Like, 3 in one year, 2 needing head replacement. I miss that car...

Then came my last car, a 1998 Maxima gle. Loved this car- good power, every option but the spoiler. I drove the hell out of her, and she took it. I drive about 25,000 miles a year for work, so I needed something newer. Enter my latest...
2005 g35. Premium package, black with tan interior. Was looking at a Hyundai for mileage, talked a buddy into buying one and then bought his wife's car it's in great shape, not quite 80k, paid 10 grand.

Needless to say, I love it. I thought I would miss my Maxima more, but this is either close enough or better in every regard.
