is that mango color the same as the coupe in previous post?
If so, black would be simplest to match but throw in some gold accents I think it would POP.
You don't want to do red, yellow, blue, green, orange...
On the other hand, a super dark red wouldn't be too bad. Purple or white would even work. A dark grey isn't a bad choice either, and please NO CHROME.
As you can see, I'm picky on colors...I hate when people clash colors on their cars.
Love the originality in this build so far, keep going!
No my coupe was the original 350z Orange with gold pearl added. On the rims I've convinced myself to do a very dark gunmetal color with a slight touch of orange pearl. Reason Being is that on the hood I'm going to highlight the cowl just like they do on the camaro, that way it will pop. On the front and rear vents I'm going to outline them in black then fade it out to a dark gunmetal. That way those pop out at you as one off as well. The roof will remain gloss black as well as the mirrors and front air dams, the front splitters in that dam will be mango tango. The paint will be pretty simple and clean. I know I sound crazy when I say simple and clean considering my car is going orange and has Frankenstein vents and stuff from like 5 cars. But I think overall it all flows, and makes it for a very subtle change to an oem sedan, 100% unique and hopefully it all ties together for a beautiful example of a custom import car that's not too overdone.
The top body line needs to get slightly adjusted so it's Straight. The middle one flows perfect with the factory bumper body line like it was meant to be there.
Yeah I do agree too much can be looked at as rice, but I have my vision on what it will look like complete and to me it's sex, I have to drive it so I'm leaping outside the normal everyday sedan on this one. I'm not a fan of oem, and lowered, everyone has that so I take pride knowing I'll be the only one with my style. I do appreciate the criticism though, once it's finished it will be my pleasure to post up for a second review lol. It's hard to see another man's vision until it's done. Much like the hood, in the first few stages I got some crazy bad reviews, but finished I've had many many request to build duplicates.
Thank you guys for the support, I'm excited to get it painted, as of now it's sitting in the front of the shop just waiting until I finish some customers cars. The progress took a turn as well, the stillen kit may be removed if I can get the swap kit together in a decent time. I've dreamed of an ls swap for awhile and a 6.0 gto just came up for auction by me so if all goes well that's the next goal.
Sadly that's how she's sitting until I get more time, on a good note though the interior is about done
Edit: I just realized that I may be obsessed with my car I can't even drive it yet I still washed it after it came out of the bay. I feel kind of crazy but I'm glad to have it clean.
So today a good friend of mine brought me a little gift that he had leftover from his g37s. These are pretty sweet looking in my opinion, I've never heard them but I think they will sound good. I'm going to make it dual exhaust and with the resonators on the inside so it will look very very unique. The ARK stamp will be facing the outside. If anyone has these please let me know how they sound I'm excited to get them installed. I'll mount them up soon so I'll post pics.
So as a bonus my buddy brought me a x pipe today that he used with the ARK exhaust. I'm going to start relocating the canister today then mounting the mufflers up, I'm super excited to actually get this exhaust mounted up on a sedan, the HKS was always a favorite but never an option for the sedan guys. Now I can make a very similar setup to the style I love!
