carbon fiber that adds weight to a car...something ironic about that

 

it's vinyl, weighs as much as paint

 

still the reason carbon fiber is stylish is because people use it for weight reduction, just slapping it on your car for the sake of style, to make it seem like you have a cf roof like an M3 is sort of like slapping a Type R badge on an integra LS or a GT-R emblem on a G35, pretending you have something which you don't have...I believe there is a word for that that begins with R

 

so are guy's w/flat vinyl over their car instead of paint rice too?

 

i guess to a stock car, a lot could be rice. then again, this is from someone who was concerned w/vinyl weight gains. i guess all G's w/stock grills are rice to you too, since the grill is plastic but has a chrome finish(pretending to be something it's not). all good though, not for everyone. just the nature of the beast. everyone "likes" stock cars, but modded cars bring both "love" and "hate"

 

could you please tell me what all piping u added to make it a true dual? that looks sick!!

 

its the topspeed n1 exhaust from a 350z and i had it lengthin to fit.. i get alot of compliments on it.

 

no hate, your car looks great, I just think fake carbon fiber roofs are, well fake, the reason the cf look caught on is people who were doing weight reduction to their cars were too cheap to paint their hoods and everyone thought it looked cool. It also doesnt make sense to have a cf hood that saves you 10lbs and then throw a 100lb sub box in your trunk.

 

It looks great, bet it sounds amazing too...but it would never survive on our roads. It leaves little clearance under the rear. I can wish and dream though

I'm with you man... I've said it a bunch of times... but a lot of things go on that make me scratch my head, so

Mark is a good guy and his car is coming along real nice... so he gets a "get out of cf jail free" card

hey, don't get me wrong... i don't agree w/it when people do a bunch performance mods, then slam their car so low they gotta drive hella slow or huge subs w/a cf trunk lid. i just didn't think a cf roof overlay was a big deal.
