GT Spec Strut Bar / Grounding Kit - Pics

Finally got my pics of the strut bar and engine compartment loaded. You can see the grounding cables attached to the left and right side of the inner body panels in front of the strut tower. You can see the attachment point on the left side of the motor if you look close but the right side is harder to see.

hey man, i actually noticed a little bit. it feels a little more connected to the road now, like more feel and a little more responsive to quick steering input. I expected zero difference but I can honestly see some. It's not night and day but there is a subtle difference as far as road feel and when pushing the car hard. I'm very happy with it. Also, I still have an under-car brace to install, haven't done that yet but I expect less difference.

I got the strut bar from Forged Performance, around $230 shipped.

I wanted to add that most people have said this hinged style strut bar is merely looks and can't help becuase of how it's not a solid unit but, if you look at the angle of the strut tower and the angle at which the bar attaches to the base part, if the strut tower was going to flex, it's going to push it directly inline with the cross bar, so I think it's designed very well and the 'hinge' point is not detrimental to the design.

as far as the clearance, it's somewhat adjustable. I put it about as close as I thought I'd like it and then slowly closed the hood. No probs closing. So I then opened to see if there were marks on the hood liner and there were none, so I figured that was a good spot and buttoned it up tight. Then I fired the motor, looking under the hood gap and revved it to see how much the engine twisted which wasn't much and didn't look to be a problem, so that's where I left it.
