Video of stock G37 Auto vs stock G35S Auto

My car vs a G37 Auto at E-Town.
Both cars had no engine mods.
G37 won. 13.99 vs 14.1
Couldn't get traction in 1st.

Nice video bro

I raced a friend's auto G37 once and beat him till around 100-120 km/h then he gained on me :S but this was on an empty street so I don't know any timings.
From what I know, the sedan should be faster from the line since it's ~100 lbs. lighter with only a 25hp difference.

Could've been the weight of your wheels that slowed you down a bit?

The Volk LE37s that I have on the car are about 22 lbs, but I have much larger tires, so it may be that. I think it was mainly the cold weather. The summer compounds were just too stiff to put the power to the ground. The tire chirping is from my car in the vid.

I think the G35 could have done better with G35s wheels/tires.... The stock potenzas on my factory 18's were really sticky, and probably would have helped his time. Probably had cheap tires on his rims... At IFO, they had an 07 G35s with just k&n drop in filters run a 13.62!!! i was shocked... his first run was 13.87 i think. He was ALL stock, including wheels/tires, but had the drop in filters.

That explains a lot.

Still a very good time considering your setup.

I just wanted to mention that our cars are usually faster than the G37 coupe from the line, albeit not by very much.

Stock tires on the sedan would have made a big difference but who cares.....keep the Volks! We didn't buy these cars to drag 1/4 mile.
