Ants! Ahhhh

I have MASSIVE amounts of black ants crawling all around the outside of my car. I have seen some inside my car too but mostly outside. The entire roof, hood, trunk, and upper sides are crawling with ants. I never have had food in my car and there are no leaves in the hood or trunk. Has anyone had this problem and what are your suggestions????

Kill them all!

Wash your car? Wait what wax did you put on it? It's possible that it's sweet and they're attracted to it.

Was the car sitting somewhere for a long period of time? I have to admit...I've never seen that before in a car with no food in it...

When my car was in the shop getting fixed, the guys left my car outside on top of a bunch of ants and they crawled through my headlights and into my motor but after driving very aggressive i cooked em and got my pressure washer and shoved it in that lil crack and they were all gone lol
i dno what they found in the motor but they wanted it

No, never happened to me...then again I live in a relatively cold climate. Just go to a car wash place and use a vacuum cleaner.

And how big was that wasp nest ?!

well it never sat for long period of time... I tried washing it and it helped for a few days but they seem to come back.. I've been keeping the car in the garage after the wash because I think they are coming from all the oak trees I have in my yard. I'm gonna do a crazy wash and then keep parking in the garage. It's working okay so far.... I'll check the engine bay too for any cracks and hit it with a leaf blower! Thanks!

Wow I have had this happen to me before! It always happens after I wax the car after a clean wash, I wake up the next morning and the ants are on the body not to many just a few around the cracks! I think they're trying to eat all my smart wax off so they can get smarter! LOL I just hop in make sure all my windows are closed and I zoom off they're gone by the time I get to my destination.

lol i dont want to jack the thread, but took my G into the dealer and drove home (40 mile drive) and parked. 1 hour later, my entire engine bay and whole front end of the car was swarmed with ANTS!!!!!!!! popped the hood and apparently the tech had left a complimentary DANISH in my engine bay....melted and poopy-like all over inside.

k, back to OP..
