Matte or Gloss?

I am also looking to get this done as well but the installer I talked to said he recommended a matte black. I have an Ivory Pearl G35 coupe, and I think gloss would look better. Although, the installer does make a good point that the gloss would not stand up against the sun or scratches as well as matte.

What type of black was installed on yours?

Gloss all the way.
With a sunroof the gloss works better.
It's UV protected so I don't think that's a problem
Scratches maybe...
I'm careful when washing (by hand only) & no scratches so far.

Also make sure to wax your vinyl, to keep shine and prevent from discoloration.
If your careful, you be just fine. Like ^ said, hand wash only lol

Thanks for the input guys.

SO the place in Calgary, Alberta that I'm going to go to only has this stuff:

Mactac - Macal 9800 Pro

I have never heard of it, but it's a gloss black, and it's getting done next Tuesday

I agree that matte black will better when you're talking about scratches and stuff, however, I still like gloss much better because it gives the "continuation of the windshield" effect like a panoramic sunroof.
