Awesome Paul!!! Post up some pics!!
I have a rivet gun too, but I think I'l stick with the stock hardware since it's mostly bolts. I didn't see any rivets in the stock hardware, or are you refering to the plastic clips they include? Oh yeah... also, did you use a 1" hole saw to make the larger holes per the instructions, or is that where you used the rivets instead?

FWIW - I used a demel to make a slot for the 2 clips instead of a big a$$ round hole.
Great idea, InTgr8r! I'll probably do the same... it seemed kind of pointless to make such a round huge hole just so you can put on a clip to thread into, when you just need more of a slot.
Incidentally, did you taken any pics during the install? I'm curious if you used the factory supplied templates, or if you just marked everything off the lip itself?

I would think so, yes, especially since the moonlight white only comes in the self-healing. Might be a better question for Rick at Riverside, though. Of course, the self-healing paint is a little bit of a gimmick... I've already seen nose chips on the front bumper of a couple of new '09's on the dealer lot already. The self-healing feature is supposedly only more for very light scratches, and obviously doesn't help with nose chips... the way the front bumper chips on these cars, your better off getting a clear bra anyway. I've been waiting to get my clear bra until I had my front lip, but now I already have 10 or so nose chips to fix before hand.
Thanks... It's not that bad. I got some touch-up paint, so that will fix most of it. Once touched up, it may not turn out perfect, but you won't notice the chips under the clear bra unless you look really close.
i just held the piece on while we lined up the holes for the wheel well area, for the screws...the guy used some kinda weird tool and put the silver clips in on those areas(if you use the stock hardware make sure to put the silver clips underneath too, i think we skipped this part)...cleaned off the bumper and put some 3m adhesive promotor on it...used masking take to hold all the edges of the 3M tape so I could peel it off once I put the screws on...after that it was the rivets and done
all the pictures were taken on georgia tech campus, and that first shot is aimed toward like the tnt center and the biltmore...let me know next time you're up here man, would love to check our your whip and take you on some good roads around here
i see you're a dawgs fan too, you ever make the trip up to athens for a game? i went to a good amount back in the day, but don't really go too often anymore...have you been to the tail of the dragon? 318 turns in an 11-mile stretch...go on a little mountain run
