Nice pics mate, as everyone's already mentioned I wonder how the car would've handled with aftermarket sway bars, loving the color though

Day was really fun. Second time I've track the car. Track is kind of small but is fast. Car hit 120 MPH on the front straight. Car is totally stock, so I'm pretty happy with the way the car behaved. Engine didn't overheat (ambient temp was around 85 F), Brakes didn't fade, (car has Motul 660 Brake fluid). We had 5, 20 minute heats. Car is an auto but I'm very happy with the way the tranny behaved.

Car needs some upgrades to make it a really good track car
Here is my wish list:
1. More driver training (Skip Barber racing School should help )
2. Lightweight 18" wheels with really good tires.
3. Infiniti BBK with SS lines.
4. Sway Bars.
5. Maybe some springs. Too much dive and squat.
6. Some exahust mods, car is too quiet.

BTW Infiniti has to come up with a G50 or something like that, got tired of being passed by almost everybody. Tuff to keep up when there are Porsches, STI's boosted to 23 PSI, Ariel Atoms, M3's, etc... on the track

Very nice, sounds like a lot of fun.
Glad to see your #1 mod; that definitely is the most bang for your buck!!!
#2 & #3, need to be coordinated.
The Akebono brakes take room, so wheel selection for clearance is important.

...you're right about the Ariel Atoms, they are quick,
and a blast to drive

Looks like a fun day. Addictive isn't it?
I know what you mean about getting passed by faster cars, but I felt good about not getting passed by cars that are classed with the G and holding off some of the faster cars from passing for at least a few laps. What track were you driving?

Yes they are addictive. I used to track my old 2.5RS and my WRX a lot. been out of it for a while. Never thought I would track the G but...

Event was held in Salinas Speedway in Puerto Rico. Crappy track but there aren't many choices down here.

Best thing about a track day, getting to know your car limits...

I took the Skip Barber High Performance Driving School in Road Atlanta last year, probably one of the most fun things I've ever done and I also learned a lot about car dynamics and control. When I get the chance I'll do a racing School, hopefully SOON...
