We got dumped on yesterday. Some places got well over a foot and it all fell just in time for the morning commute.
What added to the conditions was the fact that most towns are out of snow removal budget so a lot of roads went unplowed in my area.
I hopped into my X, equipped with Blizzaks, and cruised to work without any issues at all. I know that if I drop the car, it'll be a different story. I could hear the snow touching the bottom of my car as I drove along. Any lower, I would have been plowing the streets with my front lip.

The car is absolutely amazing in the snow. Yeah, leave the S at home, but if you had the X... you wouldn't need to worry about a few lousy flakes.

that storm swung through the south before it blew up the east coast. here in my town we got 4-7". some other spots in tn got over a foot.

over a foot of snow in the south is a once in a lifetime thing.

its all good, because fri-sun it will be in the 70's

hah i feel you IAmTodd. Up in Baltimore with a S model too.

Get a set of the Blizzak LM-25s. I've been very happy with their snow / slush performance along with general driving.

So you'll switch 'em back once spring comes along? I just hate having 2 sets of tires...: / sounds like a hassle but i guess it's a must?

Well I wanted to change out the rims on the car anyway so my plan is to just leave the stock rims with winters and buy a new set of rims with summers. I really liked the handling of the summer tires.

As for a hassle, I'm not too worried about. I can swap the rims out twice a year on my own.

Biggest hassle is trying to find a set of 19" black 5 spoke rims with silver lip that don't cost an arm an a leg.

Yeah, I did the same thing... two sets of wheels. (3 actually)
My OEMs are stiing in the basement with stock rubber still on them.
I have a set of basic 5-spoke 17" aluminum wheels for my Blizzaks and my 19"s have summer rubber on them.

My biggest hassle will be if I decide to go with a BBK. I'll need to dump my 17"s and find a set of 19"s to fit over the kit.... and finding 19" winter rubber is no easy task either.
Do they even make them??? LOL
