G37 19s wrapped with Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta's

as the title states, i finally got my G37 19s on the car, wrapped with Vredestein's Ultrac Sessanta's. i got 245/40 on the front, and 275/35 on the rear. you can really see the meat on these things, the back is noticeably wider and just meatier than the stock 18s with 245's on the back. i love the wheels, love the tires (the tread is wicked), and i now absolutely love the way my car looks. this is how i wanted it to look when i bought it, i'm very happy with the look. and before people start saying "it needs a drop" i would like to say that it could use a drop, but it's definitely not worth the headache of extra wear and tear on the shocks, having to deal with camber kits and all that, and having to deal with clearance issues because its my daily driver. i'm not gonna drop it and yea there is a slight gap, but its really not a big deal at all. in terms of ride quality, i honestly can't feel a difference, not even over bumps, which was surprising given i went from a 50 series tire up front to a 40 series and a 45 series in back to a 35 series. i had heard these tires are amazing so i guess i'll come back in a few weeks and give an update with my impressions, i know they look awesome..

Ya, you better. I'd hate to see a thread by you showing your car on cinder blocks. Our coupe wheels are popular targets.

OT: I see you got Berks. You got a 5AT? Any problems with hesitation?

i love the G37 wheels, but i don't think i would put that much tire on it.... the rears are only 9 inch, the factory wheels were 8.5 inch with a 245, so 0.5 inch wider is roughly 12mm's more... Your tires probably wouldn't buldge as much with a 255 or 260.... Most of us running 275's are running 10-10.5 inch rears....

He'll be fine. The majority of coupe owners who've upgraded to larger tires run the same sizes.

looks nice... not having a drop is OK if you're having clearance issues already, BUT a drop would be nice...

Also, the widest I would have gone in the rear would have been 265, but I realize it was your preference

And NO, there is not a majority of coupe owners who run 275's on OEM wheels.

Most of the people on the forum do run 245 fronts and 275 rears, but that's b/c they are all running aftermarket wheels that are usually 8.5-9.5 fronts (coupe owners) and 9.5-11 inch rears....

I should have been more specific. To stay with a plus zero sizing and keep the same overall diameter on the OEM coupe rims, those are the sizes that need to be run. I did the calculations on this, and those are the right sizes. Not everyone wants to run a stretched tire (I don't), and different brands end up being different as far as width, even though the tire size is the same. Me personally, I would never run a 245 on a 9.5 or a 275 on an 11.

Here's some threads that recommend the same size:
