So I murdered out my rear.
Let me know what you guys think! I believe this makes the lines of the car much cleaner. I love it!

Some love for the front of the car:

Thanks for looking!

Thanks! I agree. I was never a fan of the debadging. I get the best of both worlds now :POriginally Posted by AlterZgo
Looks great. I really dig it - looks better than debadging IMO. Great job.

Looks good Wes! I think the black is the only color it would look good on thought. Any other color would just look out of place.

i agree, this looks way better than debadging.
hey west, what kind of paint did you use? was it color match to the car? did you diy?
sorry for all the questions lol
i was just wondering if this would look good on white colors since i have my emblems off the car right now and dont know if i should paint them blk or not before i put it back on.

No can do :P hehe cuz I dont want the PoPo's flagging me down and I like it clear like that so the white LED's will shine brightly at night!Originally Posted by bigc

It was color matched to my car. I had my rear repainted under warranty cuz there was a rust spot developing. So since they were gonna paint my rear anyway, I asked if they could paint the chrome lip and the letters too. they said yes. So it was done professionally to answer your question.
I think black on IP is always nice. Or you can be bold... and paint them white!!! Woot woot!!! WHITE IT ALL OUT!!

lol no white, i think that would look weird but for black it looks really good. i was hoping if i do end up painting them blk it might match with my black roof. but at the same time i dont wanna paint it n regret it later then i gotta get new ones
I think if your going with black... I think the only thing u can do is paint the infiniti logo black and leave the rest of the letters out.
That'll work nicely with your black roof. Also black out your chrome lip.

looks great! I hate the look of a full debadge, but this gets the same affect while retaining a rear that still looks like its in equlibrium
great job wes!
I've always considering going with a "black chrome" type color on my badges

Did they debadge to paint?
...I'm in the looks best on black camp as well.
IDK about colour matching to other body colours
Wes, if you blacked out the window chrome now it would look killer!!

The badging does look good and as Ian asked, I hope they debadged to paint.
Car is looking good my friend.

Thanks Ian! No they didnt... :S Is this bad? Do you think the rear cannot be painted properly with the badges on? Originally Posted by InTgr8r

Around the Mt. Fuji and Infiniti, its a pretty clean job. Around the G35x badge, it could be cleaner but for the most part, looks okay. I still have to brush away the remaining sediments/debris from the curves around the letters.

My thoughts were that the lettering can flex a bit and the paint could crack between the trunk lid and the lettering and also if you wanted to change it at a later date, it would be much more work to do so. But that's just my opinion.Originally Posted by Wes_888

Ya... that sounds like it could happen.. :S
Beforehand, I guess I thought if they painted it properly, I wouldnt have this issue.
