About that.. slight delay.

Ichiba rear camber kit doesnt fit my X the way it should. The bushings are too small for the frame. I was very dissapointed when I found this out at the shop... they had to return the stock rear cambers.

So im waiting on the eibach rear camber (same as spc) to arrive then I'll get my alignment done. Projected day is April 10 for the alignment. Will let you know how it goes.

Ive had many hiccups during this entire modding process... what a headache.

Nonetheless, it'll be worth it when its all said and done.

Ive been getting lots of compliments lately... its quite nice. Rims and a drop really set the car off... its quite amazing (I think the Nismo Chin lip helps too! hehe).

Forgot to mention, on the photoshop pic, I also remove the side amber from the headlight. All chrome headlights matches with the emblem less flat black grille.

Guys your thoughts....

So I had my alignment done this morning. An eibach rear camber kit was installed. No front camber kit. The specs as follows:

Front Left:
Camber -1.61
Toe .04

Front Right:
Camber -1.66
Toe .05

Rear Left:
Camber -1.14
Toe .12

Rear Right:
Camber -1.74
Toe 0.11

Is this gonna be relatively okay from a tire wear standpoint? I went to a very reputable alignment shop and this was the best that can be achieved.

Arguably, I could have had the eibach toe bolts installed as well to properly correct the toe and bring back the camber closer to spec on the rear, but the problem with that is, the rear subframe would have required some shaving to properly fit the bolts in. And I didnt wanna do that cuz its irreversible.

Whats the recommended stock specifications anyway?

I havent really had a chance to really give the car a good test drive after the alignment yet, but it does feel good. The mechanic said I should be able to corner like Mother*****. lol

Your thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

I'm sure you could get better alignment numbers Wes, your toe is way off.

I got my toe down to 0.00 for the fronts and 0.00 on the driver side rear and 0.01 on the passenger side rear. Without toe bolts too.

Also, your camber should be easily matched up in the front and in the rear on both sides. Especially with a camber kit. I got my camber matched on both sides to 2.24* front and 3.30* rear without a kit.

Try going to another alignment shop cause these guys don't seem to know what they're doing.

Definitely get your toe as close to 0.00 as possible otherwise you'll have really bad tire wear.

ACK... Ive spent so much money already and so much time on this lowering business...

The place I went to is very reputable... hmmmm...

With the toe and camber that I have right now, will I result in excessive tire wear? or its relatively decent?

Your camber is ok, although you'll have different amounts of camber wear on each tire.
But your toe is way off and will cause excessive tire wear and quickly too. Just get that fixed and you'll be fine.

Crap... allright. I'll look into getting it aligned again.

but since I will be adjusting the toe again, I will probably result in more negative camber.. wont I? Since they have a directly correlation?

Yeah, the camber numbers are not alarming but that toe is WAY off.
Get that fixed asap.
I totally SMOKED a perfectly good set of Falkens in 3 weeks with my toe being out less that that.

Your toe settings look ok to me, Wes... Not ideal, but OK. You should have a tiny bit of positive toe to help the car track staright and give a better steering feel, but you don't want to much positive toe or any negative toe.. Negative toe is a BIG no, no... that will cause the tires tread to feather and can even kill the inside edge of your tires VERY quickly. Factory toe range is 0.00° to 0.08° for the front and 0.00° to 0.22° for the rear. I'm a little surprise that they would set leave your LR and RR camber so far off... You really want your camber to be as even as possibel from side to side, if not the car will always pull to the side with the most positive camber... this can cause significant pulling issues especially when the front camber settings are different from one side to the other.... they should have at least evened your rear camber out a little IMO.
