How does the PD seem to be holding up? Looks great btw. I'm considering painting over my midnight grille with PD.

I'm glad to say that the Plasti-Dip is holding up extremely well. The grille has gone through a couple of washes and some long drives and there are no chips whatsoever. No regrets at all!

Heres the DIY.

I personally reccomend taking the lid off, sanding it down and spraying the lid with it on the car. I do this because when i put it back my fingers will always leave fingerprints and ruin the paint. Do this unless you have time to let it cure.

Has anyone tried Plasti-Dipping their rims? I have stock 19" rims and was considering having them powder coated black and possible red around the lip of the stock rims.. would using Plasti-Dip myself be a better alternative?

^ you can do it both ways:
- Clean then spray on. This makes it semi-permanent (you can peel it off)
- Clean, sand, clean then spray on. This makes it more permanent (not as easy to peel off)

I personally just masked things off and sprayed closer than you normally would with a paint can. http://gshack.org/?p=196

love the plasti dip look.. just did mine last week.. BUT does anyone notice how hard it is to keep that thing clean? or is it just me? there's also a bunch of little dandylions (spelling) in my area and i swear by the end of the day the whole grill is covered in them >=/ i have to rinse the front of my car off when i get home

that's my only gripe..
