HFCs over 2 years old
So earlier this year I felt something wasn't quiet right with my car and I traced it down to my Berks HFCs which I installed on the 13/05/2009.
Ok so yesterday I got around to getting the old ones replaced after reading that after-market HFCs tend to last around 2~3 years (this bit of info really surprised me )
well let me just say I was right about my suspicions, both cats we're nackered. Both had the metal resonators were dislodged and one was pretty badly burnt as well.
I went for the Invidia HFCs and so far so good. Noticed the power I lost immediately and so far no CEL
and a very short clip on the drive back home:
That Genesis to my left has a big turbo

As for performance, I quickly felt the power I lost. Now is it more than the Berks? I can't really say TBH, I installed the Berks over 2 years ago on my stock exhaust and when I did it back then I defentaly felt and improvement. These CATs do seem to pull slightly harder after 4k but that could be just all i my head.
As for quality/Fitment, there were no problems, Quality is top notch and fitment is great as well (I never installed mine, I got them installed by a shop) The only difference is that these CATs don't attach onto the side bracket like the berks so I was able to take out my bracket which were connected to the Berks.
what exactly did u feel ?

Finally it was the power that I felt I lost, I would get serious hesitation at times trying to accelerate from a stand still (I'm going to be cleaning my MAF and Throttle bodies soon) but I'm sure the Cats played a part in that hesitation.
Hope this helps. TBH I didn't expect them no where near as bad as they were, so I'm happy I got them replaced.
As for installing the GTM Test pipes you shouldn't have a problem, they should fit any exhaust system as far as I'm aware, someone correct me if I'm wrong.
You'll love the Berks, I loved mine the moment I got them installed and they have done their job as far as I'm concerned, just get them checked after 2 years of abuse
