Still looks good for a 6 year old

So my paint was looking real tired, scratches all over and really dull looking. I decided to bite the bullet and get a real professional detailing (inside and out) for the first time. I can't believe how my car went from looking like a 6 year old car to a BRAND NEW car after just one day of work! This guy is a magician!

He was able to remove scratches and swirls that I would have sworn were impossible to remove. I couldn't believe it was my car.

Pictures do no justice, but here it goes.

Looks awesome, I consider a great detailer a magician of sorts. Cracks me up when people complain about spending a couple of hundred dollars or more to get a professional job when their car looks like azz.

Yup, at first I was hesitant to pay the $400 asking price, but I went with my gut and all the great reviews he's received and just did it. I do not regret it. He was charging that much based on how horrible the paint condition was and it was basically an 8 hour day to complete my car the right way.

Now I plan to visit him regularly to keep her looking good, said he can do a one step polish/wax yearly for ~$160 which is more reasonable and I think would be well worth it.

Damn that turned out nice but I am going to call BS on the OP, most new cars don't look that good!

I have a 2007 too. Hard to believe it is 6 year old in 2 months. Although I think the looks are a little dated, she drives like a dream so I don't care.

it seems like you go through automatic car washes judging how the paint is. if you do, at least go through the touchless. I must say, the after cleaning looks really good!

Car looks great! and good decision by spending the extra $$ on getting a reputable detailer.

I had my car 'professionally' detailed for well very cheap and the car looked great when i picked it up but after couple of hand washes i found that he had professionally applied hq glaze on the car making it look flawless for a few days that washed away showing all the old scratches and additional buffer swirls which made me learn my lesson where now id rather spend the extra $$ to get a real professional to do the job right!

Always pays to go to a good dealer. Car washes that offer 'detailing' generally make it worse.

Car is looking fresh though. I am ready to hit my car with the buffer and get rid of the winter effects

I'm over in NY as well, Had him detailed my inside and waxed the outside.

Just make sure you hand wash it and make sure they only use microfiber rags! Good luck
