The question is, "for how long will they look good?" Here in SoCal our wheels take a beating from our elements, I can only imagine the streets in other parts of our country. Yes, we were all noobs once but normally common since prevails without making too many mistakes!

Plastidip does serve a purpose IMO. A good way to see how a particular color might go w/ the rest of your car without the investment of sanding, painting etc. It's easily removed so if you decide you don't like it no biggie, but if you do like it then move on to making it enhance the car w/ a professional paint job or vinyl wrap. I've done the dip, hated the rubber texture and the fact that microfiber towels stick to it like velcro so it's not easy to clean. It pretty much goes against any texture that the G has so it really is a big contrast. I wouldn't recommend it as anything permanent but for a temporary change to get an idea of the look it's a good product, cheap & simple too

theres nothing wrong with plastidip. if u do it right, u cant even tell the difference, i have a way to do it where u wouldnt even notice the difference...
plastidip as a primer and paint and clear coat on top of that and no one could tell the differnece
yes powdercoat is much better!! but $300 better?? times are hard for some of us! lol

Seems like a few coats of Pdip followed by a base coat w/ a light sanding of the last base coat then a few coats of clear w/ the last coat wet sanded and polished.
Is that pretty much the sequence you follow, and any pics of the wheels you Dipped/painted?
