road trip!!!

Hey everyone!

there is a road trip planned in mid-october, starting at several locations (louisville, indy, cincinnati) and driving through twisty, winding roads and ending up in a lodge in KY (near Hazard, KY). spend sat night at the lodge (or nearby hotel) and drive back on Sun. It's sponsored by local BMW clubs, but is not limited to BMWs. We went last year (to New Harmony, IN) and it was a TON of fun -- just driving around (no racing!), stops every few hours, a nice dinner and a lot of nice cars!

for anyone interested:

last year's trip was a lot of fun!! on saturday, we drove to New Harmony, several stops along the way. on sat night, we wandered through the New Harmoney settlement. They have a maze made of grass, about 50 feet in diameter. there were 10 of us trying to go through the maze at midnight, using the backlights of our cell phones! there was also the classic car show and dinner at the Germanium (the "big" restaurant").

On sunday, we drove down to evansville, stopped by a cathedral (in Indiana!) as well as a organ pipe music museum (like 30 organ pipes, all restored, all in one room!). I left after that, but the group continued on to a winery.

don't know the exact plans for this trip, but I'm sure it will be a blast!
