Infiniti Orland Park - Recommendations?

I was told by Infiniti Consumer Affairs that Infiniti Orland Park has always gotten good reviews and been a pleasure to work with on their side.

Any of you guys get your car serviced there? Any feedback about it? good service? Timely? Do they hassle you about duplication for TSBs? Do they double check their work or atleast perform the work right the first time?

Let me know your thoughts about them.. both good and bad. The more the better.

Consumer affairs mentioned Joel Harris as someone I should talk to there, anyone else use him or have specific thoughts about the service managers there?

Re: Infiniti Orland Park - Recommendations?

Hey Visions,
I have my order with Orland Park Infiniti currently. So far my experience with them although limited has been very good. My salespersons name is Eva, she's a very nice Polish lady that is always extremely courteous. I guess I will know within a few months what the service department is like once I go in for my first oil change (that is if my order ever comes in

Have you dealt with anyone else there? General manager perhaps? Noticed anyone complaining about the service department or arguing at the service desk?

Re: Infiniti Orland Park - Recommendations?

I haven't had any dealings with the service department yet. The only other person I've really dealt with is the Sales Manager "Frank". He is the one that put in the order and got the VIN. Not sure how long you would like to wait but I will no more soon when I go to pick up my car.
Depending on where you are located, the next closest dealer is either in Chicago or Lisle. I've heard some bad things about Lisle and I didn't like the salesperson there that helped me out but that isn't to say the dealer is all bad. They claim to be the largest Infiniti dealer in the midwest.

Well, I have up until my next service.. so no immediate rush, unless something happens to my car in the meantime.

There's also Motorwerks in Barrington, going the opposite way. Haven't had dealings with service yet. Otherwise, so far so good.

Have you tried Grubbs Infiniti? They have a posting at FA and I think are giving VPP pricing to anyone for anything currently in stock.

Re: Infiniti Orland Park - Recommendations?

I think that you would be in really good hands if you got your car serviced at Infiniti of Orland Park. I bought my G35c from Rich last May. I have been in a few times. Nothing too major, I just needed the oil changed and a few other things. I was having some creaks and they I think added a spacer to a bolt and I am getting my cd changer replaced on Friday. Mike in service always seems to answer the phone and I always have worked with him. He's really nice, and I always feel like I am in really excellent hands when I talk to him and when he helps me. I did talk to one of the techs on our ride in my car to pinpoint the creak so that he could fix it. He did mention that he has been with Nissan/Infiniti for 20-25 years. Pretty impressive because he didn't seem that old. I don't know really what more to say. Out of that whole place though, I really have liked Mike and the tech a whole lot. Hope that helps.

That is good to hear. Have you done any mods to your car? If so, is the dealership mod-friendly or do they hassle you about them?

Re: Infiniti Orland Park - Recommendations?

Hi all, just wanted to post my experience with Infiniti of Naperville. Personally I also had Eva as a salesperson and I bought my G35 coupe from her. Unfortunately I was dissappointed with the general managers sales tactics as on saturday he gives me one price and then on monday I get a 500 dollar increase, I was able to talk them back down to what we had originally agreed. The story goes on with on saturday getting an interest rate of 3.5% for 60 months and then on monday when I drive all the way down there(from schaumburg area) that they change it on me to 3.9% and I told them that was a mistake and they set it at 3.59% and though I still complained a little, I get a smirk from the general manager Frank and I was big enough to let it go, since I was in the middle of the paper work. That was f**king ridiculous, considering I'm buying a 38k dollar car from this place when I can honestly tell you from what I saw not alot of people are going into this place. Again I reiterate, Eva was awesome and I would recommend talking to her as she took the time and was considerate in every respect in getting the car ready for me to pick up, but I wasn't too happy with the general manager. And if anyone here could find out the owners name of the dealership I would like to write to him commending Eva's effort and explaining what I experience with the manager.... I'm not starting anything but I feel you guys need to know so when you go into the dealership you are prepared. I'm also saying that I got a great price on the car, no question about that, but I think they should've respected me as a serious buyer and not pull this 500 dollar increase the next week to squeeze money out of me or in retaliation for not making some sales quota for the previous week, thanks all! Good luck!

Re: Infiniti Orland Park - Recommendations?

Wait I'm a bit confused... I thought "eva" was at orland park, but your review is on naperville (i think you mean lisle). I just bought a g35 from lisle last weekend, they were nice, but typical car salesman crap.

I don't want to hear about how your working for me and not your boss and how this car is going to sell in the next 2 hours, but you really want me to have it...

Also having to bring the manager out because I'm going to leave is ridiculous. It irritates me when I have to explain multiple times that I want a little bit of time to think about it before spending 30k+. Although in the end the price that I asked for that they could never meet, well they ended up meeting (go figure).

Service is nice though & my salesman actually wanted me to ask for him when I came in today so I wouldn't have to re-explain anything. Lisle also claims to have twice as many loaners in stock. I got one today and its a 2004 i35 and I didn't have to sign one paper or show insurance or do any paperwork, the salesman really did take care of everything.

My review of Lisle's sales tactic is they rival any other sleezy dealership, but after you've bought a car they are extremely nice & so far have been very accomodating. When I was in there today they even ran out and got a paper for a gentleman because the sports page was already gone.

Anyone else on Lisle? I'm new to it so I my opinion may be off...

Nate
