I'm workin on getting a doctors note for my tint. If I catch bright light a certain way I get a sort of migraine that causes one of my eyes to start seeing flashing light. Its not fun when it happens. Catching the sun just right sparks it. I'm hoping the opthomologist will write me one for that reason. The tint also looks awesome haha

Nice man, I've heard of a lot of people who have that problem and usually they can get a doctors note for it. Good luck, let me know how that goes.

Checking In

Here I am, signature lists the specifics. I can generally be found in the SW Metro. I know that there are not many Garnet Fires around but I have personally seen one other one in the Cities.

Plans for the summer:
1. Lowering on 350z/Coupe springs - ordered from another member, to be put on soon!

2. I want coupe 18" wheels that I can have powder coated or maybe keep original if in good shape. I will then use the chrome 17's that I have now for the winter only and get some better snow tires.

3. I want to paint the lower sills either GF or BO. I also want to have the grille painted black and the headlights painted black as well. I don't know if this will actually happen, I have not found any real good price yet.

4. I want to add simple black mesh to the lower grille to clean it up a bit. I think I am going to try ordering some of the cut it yourself stuff to see if it has any chance of it looking good.

Maybe a few other things but nothing major. I think I want a G37 and might start saving for one rather than modding this one. That way I could maybe keep them both! Anyone have any idea what people are actually paying for a G37 around here? I was tempted to look at one last time I was at the dealership but thought better of it since we all know where that would have lead.

GF-4d-G35 you should keep your sedan and just keep modding it man, its always nice to upgrade to newer cars, but the again you'll have more payments and less money to mod not to mention higher insurance payment. Also parts for the G37 are going to cost more than the g35.

The guy who was going to sell me his Z/Coupe springs now can't find the Z springs so I guess I will have to wait a while longer for those. I am having a really hard time finding coupe 18's. They sell for so little that no one wants to ship them. I am willing to pay a fair price for the wheels, if anyone knows of anyone local who has some I would really appreciate some assistance in making contact.

Wannabe:

I have been doing some more looking and noticed that you have Z springs all the way around. Do you have pictures before and after? How do you like the drop? Where did you go to have them installed and how much did they charge you?

The guy I was getting the Z/Coupe springs from has 4 Z springs so I might just get them from him. Or I might get H-Techs but I have heard bad things about the rear spring rate.

I don't think Janik(wannabe) has put them in yet as he just picked them up before the holiday weekend. What you do want to make sure is that the springs you pick up are the "unrevised" Z springs which I believe are any springs made pre 2004.5...someone correct me if I'm wrong

Just noticed this thread.. I am a MN member!

I also noticed all of the chat about tint. I have 20% all around ( I went darker because I have the lighter interior color) and just recently was stopped by the Highway Patrol and given a warning. 50% is the limit here.

Yep, i just posted them in there to look cool.

From what i have heard, the ride is similar to stock, except a little stiffer.

Im getting them installed with my sisters bf and his friends. They have all the equipment and can do it for me...

I got them for free

Do you ever get your car serviced at Lupient Infiniti? I have seen your car before in person and i even told member Locksmith during our meet "I saw a BS sedan sitting over at Lupient with coupe 18s. Why isnt that guy on driver?"

Car looks good man!

Yes, I love that place.... I have had one really disappointing experience at Bloomington and will be a Lupient guy as long as I own the car.

Thanks for the compliment, I really had no idea any MN members were on here, I thought it was pretty much SoCal exclusively.

You are correct Nic. If you want to ONLY change the SPRINGS on a sport sedan, you need the UNREVISED Z springs. 2003-2004 UNREVISED, 2004.5-current REVISED. The spring rate on the unrevised z springs is the same as the G sport sedan. You will get a 1" drop all around on the Z springs.
