These are my choices (all are 2008 and all have navigation and rear view camera etc):
G35x Black. Wood panels. $27998 26k Miles (Standard 60k)
G35xS Black. Aluminum panels. $26998 44k Miles (Spoiler!!) (Standard 60k)
G35x Platinum Graphite. Wood panels. $27990 24k Miles (Infinity Certified 100k Warranty)
G35xS Blue Slate. Aluminum panels. $26990 36k Miles (Infinity Certified 100k Warranty)

Most of my friends have black cars so Im not too crazy, but black is still black - it will look nice. I also live PG and BS. Suggestions?

Wood isn't available in the sport models.

Blue Slate is a good color. I think you will like it. Here is my 08 G35S 6MT

i would personally look at the last two choices, because the extended warranty is included for not that much more and the mileages are fairly low. if you really want wood panels, then probably the platinum graphite, but the g35xS is real great..i really wish there was one offered when i bought my car...

definitely test drive both cars..i had noticed differences and that really determined my choice of car...lastly, carfax..preferably no accident and from a warm climate

I drove back with the black G35x (26k miles) - the 100k warranty people (luther) were not giving enough for our trade-in.

It is amazing - will post pictures soon!

Ok, Here's my take on dealerships around Minneapolis:

1) Wayzata Nissan people are thieves - I got my coupe from them three years ago. Not only did they forget to mention that it had an accident but when we went in for trade in appraisal they told us $5k. The car they were trying to sell had frame damage and they said they dont know what happened. Very rude and unprofessional - the sales guy was actually taunting me while doing the test drive pointing out things that are not in my current G35.

2) Lupient Infiniti, very nice people, they will just give you the car to test drive. Good communications. They told us $13k for my coupe, but then when Walser gave us $13.5k they said they will match. I would def buy from them, they just didnt have what I was looking for.

3) Luther, nice people, good company but very sales oriented. They wouldnt match walser and gave us $11k-$12k for our coupe. The Bue slate G35xS had a scratch (rear left side) something that had to be repainted. The only two reasons I didnt go for the 'S'.

4) Walser, they gave us the best value for our car ($13.5k). Not as good in communicating as Lupient. Very good attitude. The car we picked out (the one I bought eventually) was not even at the lot, the sales guy took us (in a BMW 5 series that was for sale at their lot) to the recon center and we tested it out there. The car was scheduled to arrive at Walser Nissan but we were looking at the G35xs (black) at Walser Toyota (Its still there) so he personally drove it down to Walser Toyota and we got it today!

About the warranty, you can add it for $3000, they will also offer it as a separate plan: 10% down 0% apr for 18 months. Not a bad deal.

So my main reasons for buying the car: Walser gave the best value for the trade in, good rates on the loan (Wellsfargo), they made extra effort to get the car. Low mileage and wood panels :P

The car never officially made it to the website (no real pictures, just the listing), here it is (cached): http://webcache.googleusercontent.co...&ct=clnk&gl=us

Check the Carfax on it!

Let me know what you guys think (eager to know what G Gurus think)!

Sounds like you had a good experience. I have never had a good experience at Walser so I kinda refuse to go there. But maybe its different for everyone. The one thing that bugs me is their no haggle pricing. I never feel like I am getting a good deal..

Post up some pics!

You know I felt the same thing - but they had a good price on the car. I am not very sure if I will go back to them. They did give us one year free carwash (52 car washes - the automated ones so outside only) and two free oil changes. I like Lupient they were ready to negotiate, wish they had the car I wanted.

Watch out for the auto washes. They are brutal on Infinitis black paint.

Look forward to this.

Each one of those is a separate black Infiniti I have done. Don't skimp on washes, your car will thank you!
