they updated there site and in the gallerys below you can see most the shop, they had alot of cars when i was there. most them are subarus, i can ask on a different forum about them if you would like.

Ok, thanks. Don't go out of your way, I just need to find a shop I can feel comfortable with, a little closer than Chicago.

i made a thread about it. someone said that alot of people on the forum have had work done there so i am guessing that more people will respond soon.

from how the person posted i would say that it would be worth calling.

edit: while typing this someone else posted, he said "speed industry is pretty legit. car and driver took their long term STi there..."

here is the link if you want to look for updates (you may have to sign up to see it, if that is the case i will keep you posted)

Thanks a lot for posting that. So far it sounds like it could be a good shop.

Avid G35 junkie. I only have K&N CAI for now but am struggling over what exaust to move up to next and so on and so on. Would love any advice from any "x" owners who improved their perfromance. Winter is her and LOVE my 'o4 "x".

I would go with the Fast Intentions Intimidator exhaust. It has good flow and great sound for NA or FI Gs and I'm sure they can make it fit the X.

Hey everyone I live out in Holly. I was also thinking about going to speed industry when the winter breaks to have my car tuned. I'm in the process of doing a ATI procharger setup on my G.

I've been driving my new G35x (2005 DG, bought late Nov.) all winter up here near Traverse City and it's been basically bombproof. I put Nokian WR G2's on it, and the only thing that's been slowing me down is the damn VDC! So if the roads look somewhat slippery, I just reach down with the left hand and turn it off. Makes a big difference on accelerating in the white stuff. Your tail gets a little left-right slidey at first, but only a little, nothing to be even remotely worried about. But the tires made the biggest difference for the snow.

As for performance, I've got an OEM Z-Tube and K&N Filter which gave it a nice boost, especially after about 3500 RPMs. And a nice sound. I ordered a good grounding kit, but it's not here yet. And I've got an HR Y-Pipe on the way (need to go get it), and in a few days I'm ordering an MD 5/16ths plenum spacer with the Copper ISO upgrade (it's frickin' cold up here!). That should just about finish the engine/intake side of things. No plans for FI or CAI. But the Z-Tube/K&N Filter should be your first mod.

I'm debating a strut tower brace and rear sway bar. From what I've read, once you get past the hype and ignorance, a strut bar doesn't really help all that much because the G is already pretty tight. And with an "x", I can't put on a front sway bar (nobody makes one), and only having a rear bar would again have minimal impact on handling. I'd rather save up for 18x8's with better summer rubber and maybe try to lower it an inch or so.

I know there are 4 other G owners up here for sure. Two X's, one white, one Diamond Graphite, and two sedans, one red and one black. They're all 05's or 06's. But it's nice having a somewhat unique car.
