I have the same Falkens Janik, but being as how this is the first week with me on them, I actually think the rubber is a little too flexing. When I switch lanes hard, I can feel the rubber flex and the momemntum carry. No doubt the rubber is grippy but it also seems to flex! I actually wasn't really comfortable running too hard with them. The issue could be the camber and the contact tread not being perpendicular to the road (and thus more likely ro flex) but I was probably running my car at only 75-80% through the twisties. It held but it's scary when the weight transfer isn't even and predictable. I still held my own though

I saw you break traction a couple of time but you never felt outta control. Good out there bro.
I was surprised about Mike, he was moving pretty good.

Hrmms... So, after reading through all this, how fast were you guys going on average through those twisties? What I'd be most worried about is coming out of a corner and happen to go a little too wide and right there is a mother, father and their 2 kids coming down the otherside.

^Its all about control. Once your out there, you'd understand what im talking about.

if your so out of control that your sliding into the other lane going around these corners, then you shouldn't be coming on the cruises.

And Peng, my tires are pretty broken in (like i have over 9k miles on them now) so they seemed to grip.

I noticed that I’d get a little unstable when I’d shift within the bend yet I would wanna accelerate faster after braking. So I started to heal/toe shift and that worked perfectly. I started practicing to do that about a month ago but never really got comfortable doing it but by the end of the cruise on Sunday, I now feel fairly comfortable doing it

Yea I was keepin up...Hoagie was still on my ***, I just didnt feel too comfortable going faster especially since the TL in front of me was going a bit faster and then biffed it. So I felt happy going at the 70 to 80 mph. I have the BF Goodrich KDWs and I'm really happy with them, the guy with the silver acura as the same. But I have 235s in the front and 275s in the rear. Despite the 200 bucks Peng it might be something to look into down the road, or diff brand w/e. I wanna get 245s in the front next time around. I loooove the wider contact patch.

Next time I'll feel more confident too since I made it just fine at the higher speeds I was traveling. But what a great time...now if I dont get so sweaty that its hard to grip the steering wheel, my adrenaline gets going like crazy on those roads. Hehe!!!

With Janik's comment, I'd have to full agree. When we were going around the corners I was pushin the he// out of my car in 3rd and 4th with 4k-6k revs downshifting and acceleratin out of each turn. I'm SURE GLAD i got different tires before iw ent on this cruise or there's no way i would have trusted going nearly as fast as we did. I would say Janik 'n me were averaging about 70-80 even through some of the tightest of turns.

TVang- to your comment about kids and a family, I'll agree with Janik again. The control issue is there, and you have to know your car. If you're going on the opposit side of the road JUST TO MAKE THE TURN, then there's no way in he// you should be going as fast as you are. 95% of the time we were on our side, not to mention when I cut over the line @ all it was when i could see a good half mile down the road.

a.datthang.n - are you the Red G on Tanabe's? If so I still can't believe those are only springs...did you purchase it that way? If so you may want to confirm that the springs aren't cut as well. I've never seen springs actually cause the care to TUCK? Definitely get a camber kit though, i noticed on 52 that you camber is wayyyy off.

As for tires, the stickest tires I've personally experienced would be BF Goodrich G-FORCE KDW tires. My roomate had them on his car...and they were so sticky he tried to do a burnout (frontwheel) and BURNED OUT HIS CLUTCH because it wouldn't handle pushin the car!!!! I need to figure out which tires i want like..riiight now...hmmm;-)

Thats what I got and I love em! They arent too pricy but also have good life and are a bit harder than some. They are 300AAs, if you want something sticker yet but were'nt too concerned on pricing I'd say go with the Advan Sports. They are going to wear sooner but definitely provide great traction, better than the KDWs. But it all comes down to how long you wanna have em for lol. I'm on my 2nd year with the KDWs and I've been happy so far. As to your comment Lance I'm only commenting to what I missed over the last night. I left home at 830 and I didnt get home until 1, I worked both jobs and then spent a couple hours at the gym. Talk about a long day
