Alright guys... so i installed an injen cai this weekend and about 5 minutes of letting it idle my service engine soon light came up to say ello! Now i heard the enigne will go through its own little process of adapting to the change and then it will go off...Any ideas?

Did you disconnect the battery when installing and reset the ecu?

Not saying yours is messed up but when I installed mine no codes codes came up. Mind you I have test pipes and those aren't throwing a code ever and they've been on for 3 years

Check to make sure your MAF isn't dirty. If you still have the code after, try and find out what it is at Autozone or the like.

I have Kinetix HFC and no codes, which is awesome... I mean it could be a coincidence for something like a oil change or any factory specs? like checkups or something?

When i pulled it out of the stock intake it was so clean you could eat off of it... (benefit of buying from a old lady and first owner)

Is the reset just disconnecting the battery for some time?

Look up resetting ecu on forums. Its a matter of key turns and break/gas pedal presses

Taking off the neg terminal will reset the ECU. Larzo, are you getting a rough idle?

I wonder if the sensors are maxed out from the higher amount of air flow. I know that used to be a problem with the nissans that were running high flow headers with the factory wideband 02 sensors. I'm not sure what years of the G have wideband 02's or not.
