OEM is 4300. A lot of us are running 6000k's. Make sure you study the brands. 6000K and 5000K are completely different temperatures from different brands.

...now get back over to myg37! LOL

I want to compare lights with someone who has 6k's. Mine look pretty clean, but I am not sure if they are stock or not. If not, I will changing them. What brands did you guys go with?

Cars and coffee last Saturday? 2005 sedan, blue, rolled fenders, aftermarket lights.....yeah that would be me. I had a hunch I would run into the previous owner there considering the G crew was out in force. Perhaps you could tell me more about the car considering the dealership I bought it from knew nothing!

Yep!!!!! That was my old car man! So many days that I miss that car. I had it set up so nicely. That car was my baby for 3.5 years... all the maintenance was done at the dealer, and it always got premium gas and full synthetic oil. I drove that thing all across the country.

Heres a couple pics.

So tell me how the car is running!! How many miles do you have on it now??? And do you mind telling me what you paid???

Other things to know. The rear axle click was fixed under warranty, and I had the dealer replace the passenger air bag sensor about a month before I sold it. That was a battle as my warranty had expired 10 days before I brought it in.

There were a few other little things... I am a dealers worst nightmare and make them fix everything under warranty so that car should literally be mint and ready to go.

I'll give you some background on the car...
...to hear Janik talk about it, you'd think it was falling apart.... but I've actually driven it, and it's in very good condition. A lot better than mine!

....btw, is it strange knowing that someone you've never met, that's from FL no-less, knows your car first hand?

Hahahaha NFSP can attest that I am overly **** about my cars and that I literally keep everything to a T.

I detail cars as well, so i literally washed it twice a week lol.

The car runs great! The tech at the luther dealership in Bloomington told me the previous owner used to bring in their own synthetic oil (I'm assuming that was you!). I can definitely tell the car was well taken care of, it's CLEAN on the inside. I'm pretty **** about my cars as well so I've notived a few things I'll probably take care of soon. I think the compression rod bushings are shot as I park in a parking ramp and the suspension makes quite a bit of noise. Also, the drivers side seat tends to move slighty under deceleration. I think both of these things are TSB's so I'll have them look at it on Saturday. To answer your other question, I bought it at the end of April with 68k miles and it just hit 72k this week. Overall I'm very pleased with the purchase. Going from a cavalier to this is worlds apart. The Florida comment is actually kind of funny. I saw on the carfax it was serviced in Florida which I thought was odd considering it was a MN car. Good to know it was in good hands at all times!

Wow I miss my car... lol 72k, didn't get to see it rollover! Sad day.

And yep! I brought in full Amsoil synthetic. In FL I had it changed in Tampa and when I was in California I had it changed at the Famous Riverside Infiniti. Good times... compression rods... yea they are torn and need to be replaced. It is a common wear item on those cars and you have to pay to get them replaced. However, it is just the bushing so if you know a shop, you can just have new ones pressed in. The dealer tends to like replacing the entire rod which isn't really necessary.

Also the seat, thats another issue that those cars had. It started doing it around 55k but the only way to fix it is to replace the seat assembly on the bottom. It tends to not do it as much if the seat is tilted towards the floor.

Yea, if you ever wanna know anything about it, let me know. I have owned it since it had 30k miles. PO before that owned it for less than a year and lived in Cloquet. He had it and another 05 black sedan. Traded them both off on a Hummer at Lupient Chevrolet. Before that I am pretty sure it was a rental car. On the window sticker on the bottom it says Fleet drop to enterprise rent-a-car so that is what I was sure of.

Car had one weird transmission issue when I drove it through the rockies, but it quit as soon as we came down from the elevation and hadn't done it since.

It also would sporadically run rough last winter when i had it in Fargo, but I think that was because it was at the back of the parking lot in direct wind and it would literally freeze. Car never did it when It was in the garage or during the summer. I don't think you will have to worry about it though.

Other than that, the car was a real champ. I freaking loved that car.

Quick note about the rocking-seat issue...

You're probably better off to try and find a used pair of G35 coupe seats in good condition, and put them in than to have the dealer fix it.
Dealer will charge an arm/leg for the seat, and the coupe seats are more comfortable anyway.
