Minnesota Chat Thread
I got pulled over on 35 saturday night for speeding and I have tint so I rolled all my windows down. Turns out rolling your windows down is a sign of trying to clear "odors" from your vehicle. So I quickly explained that I rolled them down to cover up the tint. Haha lesson learned there. But the real reason I am posting this is to inform you that if your car is not registered in Minnesota you cannot get a tint ticket in Minnesota. Sorry if this is old news. I know it doesn't help most of you but maybe some?

County or state patrol? ...shouldn't have anything to do with it. Been pulled over in the city as well as on the interstate. ohhhh I've seen it all..lol.
It was state patrol. for those of you who have gotten tint tickets in Minnesota with out of state plates did you also have out of state drivers licenses? I have 20% on the back and 30% on the drivers and passengers so theres no way he missed it even after I told him I had tint. I asked him what MN tint law was and he said "I don't like telling out of state people this but we can't ticket you for tint. Only (here's where I may have screwed up. I think he said registered minnesotans. not if your car is registered in minnesota.) Either way I'm safe.
nope...had a Wisconsin license up until about a year ago, and Nate had an iowa license.
I've gotten actual tickets for tint on the interstate, and fix-me tickets in Winona when going to college.

Well then I have no Idea what happened. I got a warning for the speed, Warning for not having the current insurance card and nothing about the tint. maybe he was just a nice guy? I straight up told him I had it though thats what makes me think that its true. He did say that if its TOO dark like limo or darker you can get an unsafe driving ticket. But idk if that is just a tint ticket in disguise or what.
I've definately been pulled over way more in my old Mazda 6 !! *knocks on wood*
i dont think they can give you a ticket for no front plate in nebraska... A police officer cannot enforce his state laws to out of state registered vehicles unless the vehicle has an expired registration because this is universal.
i would check into this janik...
