The car runs great! The tech at the luther dealership in Bloomington told me the previous owner used to bring in their own synthetic oil (I'm assuming that was you!). I can definitely tell the car was well taken care of, it's CLEAN on the inside. I'm pretty **** about my cars as well so I've notived a few things I'll probably take care of soon. I think the compression rod bushings are shot as I park in a parking ramp and the suspension makes quite a bit of noise. Also, the drivers side seat tends to move slighty under deceleration. I think both of these things are TSB's so I'll have them look at it on Saturday. To answer your other question, I bought it at the end of April with 68k miles and it just hit 72k this week. Overall I'm very pleased with the purchase. Going from a cavalier to this is worlds apart. The Florida comment is actually kind of funny. I saw on the carfax it was serviced in Florida which I thought was odd considering it was a MN car. Good to know it was in good hands at all times!
Glad you found the forum from Janik's paper on Saturday! I know he was pretty much in shock when he saw your car @ C&C. And I assume you saw that the car doesn't have a door ding on it?? It never got ONE in the 3.5 years I had it.
I hate door dings lol. I still know of every imperfection on that car, thats how **** I am.
Small hail dent on the hood, small dent on the roof, slight little nick in the drivers side rear quarter, and thats about it.
After both my road trips I had the front resprayed so that looks brand new! I am gonna do that to my 2008 after Florida next spring. Front looks like **** from the PO that never washed the love bugs off.
