Ususally tint reads damn close, or within 1-2% of the actual rating. The tint on my G was 20%, and it was read through a maching at 19.7% which was even in the dark evening.

Hey, go talk to my friends mom. She had 50% applied to her Avalon (back in 06) and it registered at 43%. She got a nice fat $150 ticket for it too.

If the cop feels like its too dark, then its too dark. Anything under the 3% leeway that the state gives you (because of factory tint) is considered illegal and it is up to the cops discretion whether or not they will ticket you for it. Most wont, but there are some that will.

Every car is different when it comes to factory tint. Like mine registered at 34% (with 35% installed) but like my friends mom toyota, 43%. Not sure about the quality of her tint. It was installed through a shop via the Toyota dealership, but you'd think after 4 years it would have faded close to the limit.

Yeah theres a 3% leeway but I'm honestly not too worried about it, the tint doesn't look dark at all on my car just a little bit of privacy

Tint law sucks.. "EYE CONTACT" most of the driver I see at the 4 way stop sign don't even look. Get a prescription from your optometrist saying you need tinted windows and they will let you go.

This is such a stupid reason. You should spend more time paying attention to what the car is doing (slowing down, accelerating) rather than staring down a driver. Minnesota drivers for ya...

I wish i knew WHAT to do to my car.

Driving around tonight, i hit up westside volkswagen. Found an Imola Yellow 2005 Audi S4. 13k miles for 24k. Thing is mint. Going Monday to drive it and see how it is. If the deal is right, G might get traded. We will see. lol

It wouldn't be the first G they take in as a trade...That's where I got my coupe! But 24k? You'd be in Infiniti M territory (which I'd personally rather have).

I OBVIOUSLY wasn't talking about a new M. There was a 2006 M35X at Wally Cadillac for 19K. If you seriously wouldn't even be looking at getting the car if it had higher miles, I'd say don't buy it period Basic warranty is 4 years/50K so it's already out of that and it gets 15/23 for mileage Hell, I'd rather have your car now than a 2005 S4

I was talking about miles on an M. 60k+ miles. lol

Like i said, it would have to be a good deal. I am not sure i'd go that way but i have always liked that car. I dont NEED a new car, just keeping an eye on the market and whats available. I'd really like to find a 2nd gen sedan, so i kinda want to just wait a year.

Not gonna rule out an options though. This sound is just... heavenly.

It does sound pretty nice but I think our VQ's are just as badass sounding. It's worth taking for a spin if anything....I do think a 2nd gen would be a better option though.
