VPP at suburban in Novi, MI???
VPP at suburban in Novi, MI???
Has anyone had trouble getting VPP at Suburban?
I ordered a 2005 G35 coupe 6MT in November, expecting Feb-March delivery. Because the car has not been released yet and it's a new year, they cannot quote me the VPP price yet, but SAID (not in writing) that there should not be a problem givving me VPP (yes, I am legitamately eligable) once the car comes in.
In my contract, there is a clause that allows me to get a refund of my deposit if I cannot get VPP pricing, but has anyone had any experience with this? If I don't get VPP, I'll probably be looking at a TL or something else, but I really want the G coupe.

WOW!,
I'm impressed that they'll even give you the VPP! I went into Suburban in August, intent on buying a G35C with the VPP. They flat out told me to my face that they WOULD NOT honor it for the 6MT. They said that they make too much more money selling it to a walk-in.
I understand and respect that the dealer can revoke VPP priveledge at any time on any model, but I was a little miffed to say the least. So, I went ahead and ordered a 6MT from Pfeiffer Infiniti in Grand Rapids, because they will readily honor a VPP.
However, to be fair to Suburban, they said that they would ALLOW (How kind of them!
) me to order an '05 G35C 6MT with the VPP, and delivery would have been March '05.
However, I opted for an '04, for the Brembos, and called and cancelled my order at Pfeiffer for the '05.
So, to answer your question, yes, I have had difficulty. If you're willing to drive the distance for pickup, Pfeiffer may be more than willing to work with you. Heck, I think that since I cancelled my order for an '05, that it's still on it's way, for mid-to-end of January delivery! They still have to accept the car, so I felt bad for doing it to them, but they were cool about it.
Let me know what happens, I'm curious to hear.

Thanks for the info. Hopefully it goes through . . . I really want this car, but I refuse to pay MSRP for any car when I get supplier discount for just about everything out there.
