Another one bites...

Hi there, happy holidays to all of you. After browsing the forum these past few days I finally decided to join up for the useful info/advice & friendly atmosphere here. I just placed my order on an '07 6MT (lakeshore w/ premium) with the only local Infiniti dealer 4 days ago. This will be the very first '07 6MT sold by this dealership & according to the salesman their (& surrounding area dealers) ratio of MT:AT inventory is about 1:15. In fact the car is being detoured from Washington state via dealer exchange & due to arrive about mid January.

Will keep you all posted & may be even some pics when the time comes.

Cheers.

Hi PF.....welcome aboard and congrats on the 07 G you have on order.
You're in for a real treat......

I'm a little surprised at the ratio of Automatics to Manual trannies.....I assumed it was closer to 10:1 .
Your 6M/T will be even rarer than I thought.....

Enjoy browsing and chatting....it'll help pass the time it takes to get your new ride....

Happy holidays to you too.....

Colin.

Thanks Colin for the warm welcome. So do you prefer the M over the G? I just talked to my salesman earlier today & he's still expecting mid January delivery. All I can do now is sit tight & read up more on the G.

Btw just came across a CF deal that is about to expire tomorrow in case anyone interested.

Happy New Year to all.

Finally took delivery of the Lakeshore slate '07 6MT this morning & to my surprise the salesman recommended 1st oil change (not sure if it's on the house or not) @ or <7500 mi. from the current synthetic blend to full synthetic. Can see the quality difference b/w the G & my 9 y/o GS400 by feel of the buttons & functionality - such as seat & outside mirror adjustments but for price, features & performance the G would still get the nod. Didn't drive around much but taken the car straight home to start reading & playing with all the gadgetry with the rainy/misty weather we're having right now. That's all folks & more to come if the weather cooperates.

Well, see if this works, at least fore now till I figure things out. Please feel free to comment especially on my using the Yahoo picture page vs direct attachment. Thanks.

Here it is, my 07 Lakeshore Slate 6MT with factory tint, wheellocks, gold trim, rubber mats, premium package, splash guards & cargo net.

Gold trim, I haven't seen a new car with that for quite a while. It was pretty big in the early 90's.

Pretty car though.

Yeah, my top 3 color choices were Sand, Lakeshore or Blue Slate (since I've owned both metallic White & Black colored cars the last 2 rounds). As for the gold trim, I got the idea seeing a similar Lakeshore Slate in the dealer showroom & thought the contrast would come out okay & also being a bit different (instead of debading like others I UPBADGE or GOLDBADGE). You should see that gold Infiniti Mt Fuji emblem @ center of the steering wheel.

Btw, since I bought the tint & goldtrim from the dealer, they're both guaranteed for the life of the car.

I like everything but the gold trim -- I didn't realize that was still offered.

Yes, it's gold & noticeable. Very different in deed & can you say BLING, BLING!

Seriously I saw a brand new spanking shiny Black Acura TL with the gold trim on my way home earlier today & that thing look sharp - to my eyes of course.

Btw, this gotta be the age thing.

Congrats on the Lakeshore! Great color...I have the same in 5AT. My 2003 G35 Coupe is 6MT. You must be in Texas. I like the longhorn emblem opposite the "G35S" on the rear! What interior do you have? I got stone in my 2007 as I already had graphite in the 2003.

Thanks guys, mine has stone & aluminum interior. Yes, it's Texas all the way for me.

I had a very hard time choosing b/w the Lakeshore & Blue Slates but went w/ Lakeshore since the 6MT wait is much shorter. To me Lakeshore looks better in dark/shady environment while Blue shines under bright sunlight.

Fyi, the G is very close to my '98 GS in size giving up <2" overall length & 1" width but beat the Lexus in wheelbase.

So no one noticed my sick monitor, huh?
