Screeching noise turning car off?

Not sure if this is normal, but there is a screeching noise when my car turns off (maybe the a/c)? Has anyone else experienced this?

I think I know what you are talking about Vtec. I hear it almost everytime I turn the car off. At lunch today I will try turning off the car with the A/C on and with it off and see if it makes the noise both times.

I don't think it's the AC. It's a noise right when I cut the car on and off. It sounds like its coming from right under the steering wheel. It actually sounds pretty normal to me and not a screeching sound. Sorry bro, it doesn't sound like I was much help to ya.

Sounds strange. Can you get an audio clip of the sound?

it's nto a screech. it's a high-pitched whine that winds down. it is the A/C compressor probably... easy to check: see if it does it both when the ac is on and off.

I think I know what you are talking about. I sounds like something winding down, probably the MusicBox hard disc drive shutting off.

I think it sounds pretty cool, like a jet airplane powering down.

That is so hilarious you said that!! That's exactly what my wife just told me a few minutes ago...she said "Hey that sounds like a jet powering down" I turned it on and off again just to hear it. Nice sound! I like it!
