Finally Picked It Up

Finally Picked It Up
I got an unexpected call from the Lake Norman Infiniti yesterday afternoon that my car had arrived one day ahead of schedule. Unfortunately, on the way to my house I was involved in a minor traffic accident when my girlfriend rear ended a high school friend of ours. Most importantly, no one was injured. After a substantial delay, my parents and I made the hour or so drive to the dealer to take delivery of my car. I love it. It's a black G 35 Sport with stone interior and premium package. I must say, coming from a honda accord it's quite a step up in every aspect. The drive home was a dream. Quiet car with a substanial amount of power. I had looked at a Mercedes but I think I made the right decision. I have been browsing through past entries to know what to look for on delivery day. This really made the whole process much quicker and smoother (thanks guys). I'll post pictures soon.

Congrats on your new car. I stopped at Lake Norman Infiniti the other day just to look and I have to say that they did not leave me with a good impression. Or should I say the punk kid who "helped" me did not leave a good impression. To make it short he:
1. Did not introduce himself.
2. Laughed at my current car.
3. Told me the price was "stone sticker with no haggling"
4. Did not offer me a test drive.
I just don't understand why the dealership would hire this idiot to sell Infiniti's
Sorry about the hi-jack.

That's interesting, I think I know exactly who you are talking about and I too had no idea how that guy was hired. He tried to take care of me when I first visited and after 5 minutes of talking I asked for another salesman. The second salesman was great.
BTW, point 3 is false, I was able to get a great deal from them.

That's is interesting because when I went to pick up my car I saw that guy you are talking about. Being younger, I figured he would be a friendly to me... not the case. But I did deal with Bruce, he was a nice guy. And I did get a good deal there. I had ordered my car from Modern in Winston, but once they had the check they never called us to let us know that they "lost" the car to another dealer. I feel like we negotiated them to a deal that they really didn't want to stick to. But oh well. Lake Norman has really been great so far. I went on a road trip today to the Biltmore House in Asheville (a little over 2 hours away). I must say that the G continues to deliver excellent ride quality, agility, and quietness on the highway. I really couldn't be happier. My only complaint is that the dealer failed to recalibrate the TPMS when they filled the tires with nitrogen. Well here are the pics I promised. Sorry it isn't as clean as some of you guys; I have done quite a bit of country driving. I just filled up from my first tank and averaged 22-23 mpg. I am really pleased with that effiecency.
