Picked up my G35S 2 weeks ago

I waited about 750 miles and till I had some pics to post. My impression so far is AWESOME!!! I still haven't gone WOT but might have gone over 4K RMP a couple of times. I am really trying to make it to the 1200 mile mark. This is the first car that I didn't have buyers remorse from, which is saying something. Of course there is a little wind noise when going 80, the 6MT isn't the smoothest but for the price, this car is the best deal out there!

Nice ride, but what's with the pinstripe? They did the same thing to my G at the dealer and I had them remove it asap. IMO, it just breaks up the lines of the car too much.

Pinstripe

How hard is it to remove? I'd rather not have it but it was already on there. Should I do it myself or have someone that knows what their doing tackle it?

Stripe-less!!!!

After a little research, I decided to tackle this myself. I think it came off so easy because it was still so new. I just peeled it off, removed any remaining adhesive and did a little spot waxing! This does look so much better. Thanks for the motivation Shawnost!

Glad I read the whole thread. I was about to suggest (politely, of course) that the car may look cleaner without the stripes. Big improvement IMO.

Congrats on your new car. It does look much better without the stripes. One of the dealers here in NC that I visited had put pin stripes on all of the new G's. I asked the sales guy why they did that and he said because it adds to the lines of the car (which is totally false). With closer inspection I saw the real reason. They slapped on a $395.00 side sticker for an "Appearance Package". $395.00 for $20.00 worth of pinstripes.....Not.

Who does pinstripes anymore??? Seriously. I bet 99.999999% remove them when they get home... lol.
Much better without! And congrats on the new G.
Hey - I really like the stone interior with the blue slate. Nice.

Thanks for the kinds remarks

At first I was going to go Blue Slate/Platinum because above all, I wanted the 6MT but my 2005 accord had the dark interior, so when the dealer called and said he found a blue slate/stone 6MT, I couldn't have been happier. I know the lighter interior will show more dirt but that is what shampoo is for.

mbresee,

Now that's more like it, car looks fantastic without the stripes!

My car came with hand painted pinstripes and the $395 appearance package mentioned above, needless to say I didn't pay for them and had them removed 3 days after purchasing the car by the same dude who painted them.

Pinstripes are for Buick's and Caddy's not the G!
