from E46 to G35
from E46 to G35
Good morning to all well yesterday i traded my 2003 BMW 325i for a 05 G35 coupe 6spd . Let me say Wow its great power and looks, I got it for 27 with 16k onit did i overpay. I never want to own a bimmer its way to expensive for the power or problems it comes with. What are some thing ill have to look out for in this G35. My wife got an 04 maxima and went for a joy ride with both and the G is untouchable.

I was between a 2004 330ci and my G coupe - so glad I went with the G. My friend has had several BMWs (e30, e36, e46) so I was very familiar with them. There was just something about the G's power and reliability that I couldn't resist - not to mention it's just dead sexy.
You may have overpaid a bit, but the market in CA is higher than the east coast so that's not a bad price. My car is about $2K more blue book there and I purchased it for $22,500 with 38K miles back in August before G's depreciated substantially after the release of the G37.
Oh yeah, do you have navi? I don't want/need navi, so I didn't get it, but that can add quite a bit to a used car value.

no nav on my G but I am happy with it WOW what power and endless upgrades. MY E46 was toped off, you could not do much to it engine wise, just bolt on's and would not give much power. Plus it was very unreliable at best and no warranty. It would have cost me to fix. The G is sexy but and i hope its more reliable in the end. Plus it only had 16953 miles on it and got the extended service contract. I plan to keep this one for a good long time
Awesome... hopefully you'll be pleased with the reliability - most members on this board seem to be, and although I've only owned mine for 7 months, it's been great thus far. I hope to keep mine for many, many, many, years to come!
