New G35 Coupe owner in Chicago!

Very excited to say that my gf and I bought a 04 G35 Diamond Graphite Coupe Premium yesterday! Ive been wanting one for a few years now, and finally decided to trade in the Range Rover Ive had for a few years for this beauty. So far, things are great with the car.

Here is a photo of it:

The car is in outstanding condition with just a few paint nicks here and there(any suggestions on how to touch them up?).

Looking forward to really showcasing the beauty of it. I am open to ideas and suggestions to really making it stand out from the rest...whether with mods, kits, etc. Im really new to all of this, so any suggestions would be helpful.

First order of business is to tint the windows, but after that, Im open to suggestions!

Thanks in advance for any feedback!

welcome. chicagoz.com is a good local forum.

for tints though, there's a place up north here. Its called Shaded Days in Lake Bluff. Their work is unparalleled and worth the travel up north. And no, I am no affiliated with them, just used them on multiple occasions.

My twin too but mine is the 6MT.
As for the paint nicks, just wax them good to protect them or use touch-up paint, unless you want to start shelling out cash for paint jobs.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys! Ive been doing alot of reading since I got my G35. Im the type of person that tries to learn as much as I can about something Im interested in...to the point of obsession

A few questions I have so far: someone mentioned clear corners...what are those exactly? I looked up clear corners on Google and as far as I can tell, they are side lights for the headlamps? Am I clear on this? What are the advantages for this? Are they xenon lights just like my factory xenon lights?

Im not happy with how my brakes look through my rims. You can clearly see some rust on the rotors, though the rotors are brand new. Infiniti replaced them at the dealer before I bought the car. Also, the calipers are boring. I like the how some of the newer G35's have the "Infiniti" lettered calipers. Some were silver, white, etc. Are those compatible for the 04 G35 I have? Where can I locate them and are they easy to replace?

Is there any advantage to using the manual shift on my 5AT rather than just using the automatic?

Finally, I purchased some touch up paint for the nicks. Im going to work on that tomorrow. Ive noticed though that the front mask...the front of the car has nicks and im assuming, small road tar buildup from normal everyday use. How can I get rid of this? Car bra to prevent it??? Even though I hate the though of a black bra on the car. Any advice?
