New Ivory Pearl G35S 6mt being shipped

My new car should be here by the end of the week and I'm very excited. We decided to trade in our 330CI and opt for something with a bit more power.

How is the paint on G's? Would you recommend getting the car clear bra'd or will the paint hold up pretty well to the normal vigors of highway driving?

i don't have a clear bra...but i recommend it if you're worried about chips and stuff because infiniti paint isn't really that great. if i had to do it over again I probably would've bra'd it...but since i didn't, I can get a front lip for my bumper! yay

great decision on moving from a 330 to a g35...i love bimmers, but this is definitely an upgrade for you

Clear Bra without a doubt. Never had one before but with the G it's a necessity. I hear all new car paint isn't what it used to be. Some blame environmental regs, others blame worldwide quality decline.

I got it!!! I decided against clear bra as they had an IP on the showroom with it and it was slightly discolored and swirl marks all over it. The rest of the paint looked great but the clearbra looked a year old.

anywho, onto pictures of a stock car that I'm sure you've all seen hundreds of times over. Oh well, it's new to me :-D

Loving it to death. I'm finding every excuse to go drive it.

"hey honey want me to go get dinner?"

"want me to go to blockbuster?"

"want some beer?"

And Yes we had it delivered...I was very specific that I wanted Ivory Pearl, sport 6mt and premium package. This was the only one in the country at the time that had what I wanted. We got lucky that it was JUST delivered to the other dealership in Oklahoma and hadn't even been test driven. I picked it up today with 10.3 miles on it.

nice car. looks great, but seriously, you should get a clear bra put on. find the best tint shop in your area and have them put it on. the infiniti paint chips easily and white/light colored paints stain from bugs. i had a huge gray stain on my 06 coupe that couldn't be buffed out. unless you don't mind this, give yourself some peace of mind and go with a clear bra.

I can attest to the difficulty of getting a 6MT with only premium. I got mine last summer and at the time and there were only 3 available. I had mine shipped from Virginia to NJ.

And yes, get the clear bra. But have someone you trust install it. The dealer installation of mine was crap: poorly cut so it didn't line up with the seams between bumper and body and there was a gap at the center of the front and rear bumpers. Seems like they got an inferior product. They offered to remove it and refund my money, some $565. At least they acknowledged their shoddy subcontracting
