Am I being Punk'd???
One of the things i negotiated with the Infiniti dealer was a free window tint. The dealer is across the street from a tint shop that has done four of my previous cars (which were all perfect) and that is where my new G35 would be done too.
I made arrangements to drop the car off on this past Tuesday after work and pick up my car the next evening. I have owned the car at this point a total of nine days...
When i come in to drop my car off, they ask me what kind of tint i want and after going back and forth a little, i decide to do the same as in the past, 20%rear windows and 35% front. I really can't wait to see the rsults...
So wednesday, after work, I come in, turn in the loaner and wait for my car to be pulled up. The service guy tells me how nice it looks and I cannot wait...
My car pulls around and I start checking it out and am pleased. The tint seems lighter to me but I attribute this to the light interior (stone leather). Then the service guy points out that he thinks the tint looks the same on all windows and we start looking at it from different angles but the sun and reflections make it hard to tell. He checks the paperwork and it shows that the rear windows are 20% (darker) as I requested. I drink the KoolAid and head home...
The car had been sitting in the sun and the seat was hot so I blast the AC... Then as I put on some tunes for the drive home, the stereo sounds weird. I check the settings and the bass was turned all the way down, fader was all in the front, the balance was all to the left and my radio channels were are messed up. Irritating but failry easy to fix. Now I start wondering why the AC is not cooling me off like it should and I finally notice my seat heater is turned on HIGH.
I also begin to realize that the tint level is in fact the same on all windows!
I figure I will see what wifely thinks before taking the car back...
Then I pull in to my carport, get out of the car, reach in to the backseat for my briefcase and notice the rear, driver side quarter panel, is effing scratched to hell in about a foot square area. Looks like someone took sandpaper to it real good. Now I am livid.
I get back in and drive back to the dealer. I point out all these things and they are really cool about it. They are closing soon and get their detailer guy to work on the scratches on the spot. He does a good job and get most of them out, but deeper scratches remain. They offer to put all this into their computer notes and when i bring the car in for the first service, they will send it the their "real" bodyshop.
My wife and I agree that the darker tint would have been better but we are honestly afraid to give the car back for fear of something else happening.
Do you think the dealer should do something besides rubbing the scratches out and offering to re-tint the car to make it right with me?

Just tell them your truely not satisfied in the job they did and you would like i corrected. You did just spend 28k+ on a car, they should value you as a customer. If they dont you need to get a nice assult rifle and let your anger out.
J/K about the assult rifle though

weird, it seems like they took your car for a joyride. The radio was messed up, the seat warmers were ON when you didnt turn them on before you left it with them, and there were scuff marks on the door panels?
I dunno, but i would be pissed too. Looks like they tinted the windows, and then took the car out for a little fun. thats not cool,
i hope everything works out for you
