Well worth the wait......
Well worth the wait......
Hello,
Recently picked up a 2008 G35S, Blue Onyx.
Upgraded from a 2001 Montana Extended, complete with wipers that stayed upright, peeling paint, no A/C, etc. (haha, do I win the upgrade of the year award?) I am still not sure what I was most happy about, getting rid of that van or the picking up the G, lol. But hey, have four kids so I drove what I had to drive.
Have had it for a couple of weeks and it's been sheer joy (it's difficult to appreciate how depraved one gets driving minivans for 10 years). Getting used to the stick (it does kinda pop in as one other Infiniti owner in the office says) and it's getting better and better and more fun. I drove for 45 minutes today at lunch to get some gas, this is sick!
Being an oldtimer (well, in calendar years), I was weened in a '70 Chev Impala with a 350 cu.in. 4 barrel engine. Those days and cars are long gone, but I could not help but notice how this car harkened back to feel of that car. It sold me on the test drive. Some other cars were, ummm, too 'refined' for lack of better words, I like the throatiness
Seeing the posts here was very informative and also helped with solidifying the decision on the car. Looking forward to reading and learning more, might even throw in a comment or two here and there.
Cheers!
