New British Columbia G Driver
Hey everyone.
Just wanted to drop everyone on here a line and thank them for all the information that has been put out on this web page. I recently purchased an 06 G35 MT6 Sedan and just love it. My father has had a 2003.0 5AT G35 for a very long time and sent me here forthwith to garner some much needed knowledge.
Anyway... Ill probably be on here quite a bit over the next little while and for a few years to come. I purchased the car about 3 weeks ago and had just been lurking but decided it was time to join.
All I can say is a big thank you for everyone whom is contributing to the community at large. The information on here is simply invaluable (a few dealers could stand to read up on some of this stuff) and is very much appreciated. I hope I can give something back in due time.

Thanks so much. I am actually really fond of the stock wheels, though looking around here, there is lots to grow into (who doesn't want to roll on 20's?). All the stock wheels on the car actually have some damage. The right front passenger wheel was at some point re-painted and not at all properly. As you can see if you look closely in the picture it is peeling big time. It is kinda neat though as you can see all 4 layers of painting/clears
Fortunately, or unfortunately when I purchased the car it was in serious need of tires (drove it home on near slicks). So I ordered some new rubber and when I took it local to get it mounted all the rims were scratched. Some worse than others but to an unacceptable level. The manager and I hashed out a deal and the rims are being sent away to be properly repainted (stripped via sandblasting, black base grey mid and silver top, wet sanded and then cleared with some kind of fancy inferred drying bonding dohicky to set everything, sounded impressive but I went cross-eyed). It was actually kind of funny the manager did a lot of research and we both ended up calling the same wheel place at the same time. Owner was like I just got off a phone with a guy up in your part of the world wanting to do the same kind of tires (needless to say there are 2 G35's where I live, I did the math).
Anyway... winters go on sooner than later in this part of the world so the car should be healed again very very soon.

That is pretty cool that you will be getting them redone. You will have to post new pics when you get them back.
I am not sure they are the 19's, they look a little smaller, might be the sedan 18's?
