New Chick - 05 G35 6MT
Hi everyone! Just wanted to check everything out and introduce myself. My name is Amanda, and I am the PROUD new owner of a 2005 G35 6MT Sedan. I have had 2 daily drivers in my entire life, both Mitsu Eclipse's - a 1G and 3G, and a 95 Honda Del Sol as my Sunday driver for about a year (till I found out I was pregnant with my daughter). So Thanks Infiniti, for converting me! I LOVE my Eclipse - which we still have at the moment - better gas mileage than my hubby's 96 E.B. Bronco. But will be selling soon. I am so excited to be in such a mature, luxurious grown up car but have speed and performance that I've never felt before. I considered quite a few other cars, from the Acura TL (found one in a 6spd), BMW 3 series, Subaru WRX, Evo, etc. Yes, very different vehicles! My runner up was actually the Mazdaspeed6, but I wasn't comfortable with all the drive axle problems I was hearing about. And considering they were only produced from 06 to 07, there wasn't alot of room for correcting problems on newer models.
So anyway, there's my story in a nutshell. I found everything I wanted and more in my G35, right down to a great insurance premium!! I have done MONTHS of research on all the cars above, mostly the Mazda and Infiniti. I can even tell you how much leg room and cargo space, and of course the HP and Torque specs. I read all the reviews on Edmunds, recalls, editor comments, and customer feedback before even going to drive one. There were none in my area so we drove from Shreveport to Dallas (about 190 miles) with cash in hand to drive 3 I had found on the internet and buy that day.
So here I am, grinning ear to ear in my dream car. FABULOUS!! If everyone knew how great they were we would never find any for sale!! lol!

Hey thanks you guys for not flaming the SHYT outta me for that little boo-boo. It took me a few days, but I woke up @ 2am and it hit me....wait, that's not what my trunk and seat says...DUH!!! Lots of research, just didn't learn how to spell. Couldn't go back to sleep till I fixed it! Can't do that to my new baby, that's just wrong. Most of the time I a pretty bright crayon....sometimes I forget to even open the box!
Again thanks ya'll...tackfully done, and no extinguisher needed.
